How exactly is John McCain going to beat Hillary Clinton?

Lets say its a Clinton/McCain race. Most Americans think we never should have gone into Iraq in the first place, they want the troops out of there alive ASAP, and Hillary promises to start troop withdrawl within 90 days of taking office. Could that could be a deal-breaker for McCain? McCain's view is more aligned with Bush's policies AND McCain is loathed by the right side of his party while Clinton is backed ardently by the left side of hers. Are they going to hate Hillary so much they bother to go out and vote for McCain on election day just for that? Also the ecenomy is becoming a big issue. Lower income voters in the Democratic party are voting predominately for Hillary, and while McCain has rejected some Bush-sponsored tax cuts, it is the fear of a looming recession that has most low-income voters voting for Hillary. How is McCain going to scare up a win in the face of this situation?

  1. He will insinuate that she is picking on him because he is old. It may work too.
  2. You are presuming that McCain will be the Republican nominee and that Hillary will be the Democrat nominee Such speculation is entirely premature Also, you must factor in who their respective running mates are if this excercise is to have any meaning. For example, I think that a Romney/Thompson ticket would have a good chance of winning the general election. Fred as VP would go a long way towards reconciliation in the GOP And as for the Dem VP...one can only guess.
  3. Not only that - but McCain has stated he would keep this war going for as long as it takes to win. That could be, well - from now on. We can't afford funding the war or afford the loss of lives when we know the solution will not come from our presence there - but from the will of the Iraqi people.
  4. That would be an interesting demographic to break down! Mcains hawkish views will not win over Independent voters.... And Hillary is generally hated I dont even know where to go with this ????
  5. That is the whole idea. Hillary has been the chosen one for a while now. Put someone up against her who cannot possibly win and hey presto, you have your new leader lol. Your leader is not chosen by you. Do you think the Elite are going to allow a bunch of peasants to pick the person who will do their bidding for the next eight years or so? It's mapped out. Hillary already is the next Pres. You Americans are merely going through the motions. It's tradition. You are all sucked right into it. Who's going to win? Who will you vote for? Insignificant questions. If you believe that you have choice you are sorely mistaken. Hillary will do her master's bidding, without question, better than any other adult living in the world today. That, is why, she will be your next leader. George was a good puppet but I think he may just be about to be undone as the best puppet.
  6. Hillary may say that, but she know's as well as anybody that withdrawl is a terrible idea. She would never do it. It's not an option. I don't think he will get the nomination. The economy is a bigger issue and neither Hillary or McCain know what to do with it.
  7. How is McCain going to beat her?...In a Landslide national election.
  8. they should slowly take SOME , but not all troops put of iraq. if they took all of them they might rebell and invade us for revenge or something. Jhon Mckain probably isn's going to win
  9. I think she could take him one-on-one. She's ornery and vicious and he's grown soft. He's going down in the 3rd round.
  10. We have had 16 years of bush/clinton. Many people are so hungry for change that they would never vote for another Clinton or Bush, so he has that advantage. Also, while Hillary is leading in most polls, she also leads in polls asking which candidate do you hate, even among her own party. That should be a very chilling thing for her to hear. He needs to be tough on illegal immigration. He needs to come out, as he has, and basically say he is the man to get Bin Laden. He needs to point out the seriousness of what universal health care would do to our taxes. There are lots of things he can do to win. Lets just hope he doesn't act the wussy that most republicans seem to want to be when it comes to politics. The liberals have been allowed to slam conservatives for the last 8 years, libs like Pelosi who just can't seem to shut up, but how often do we hear a conservative politician fight like that? It's time we do, and maybe he's that guy. I don't know.
  11. The only way McCain can beat Hillary is with a whip because he WON'T be the Republican nominee for President!
  12. I dont like McCains chances to win the nomination or the general election. In a Clinton / McCain matchup, Clinton wins handily. If Obama is the democratic nominee, McCain does worse.
  13. Exactly! You want Change, McCain is not the man to vote for! He may be knowledgeable with the military but he's terrible with the economy. Give Hillary credit. She's the one who will turn the economy around.
  14. easy, half of america already hates her.
  15. How will he beat her? With a stick I hope. Har, har, har. I crack me up. But seriously folks, it is too little and too late for Hillary's troop withdrawal. That has already begun under Bush. In 90 days she will withdraw another troop? I don't love McCain's politics but it's a stunning improvement over Clinton's. In terms of demeanor, that is a big factor for most people too.
  16. I would certainly hope that he would win on the basis of experience, ethics, morals, and legal problems in comparison to the Clinton's proven and documented history..
  17. His straight talk will become crooked talk to attract the hillbillies. it worked for Bush.
  18. You are wrong ... you have NOT listen to what she said. Hillary said she is NOT going to remove the troops as long as we have an embassy and personnel to protect in Iraq.
  19. Beat her at what? checkers? He's probably better than her at checkers. Hillary is good for nothing.
  20. Hillary is another neo-con. She will keep our troops there, escalate even. If it's between her and McCain, we've lost no matter who wins.
  21. The democratic congress also promised to get the troops out of Iraq, no? I wonder if the dems will remember that? I doubt it will come down to McCain and Obama looks strong.
