Was the alleged association of Senator Barack Obama with Tony Resko ethical of unethical?

Senator Obama admitted buying his sprawling house and lot and ANOTHER piece of the adjacent lot from just indicted Tony Resko, who is known to be the "slum lord". He bought the property allegedly on the same day Resko bought the adjacent lot. As a lawyer and senator, do you think this ethical? Please cite other comparable cases you may know to support your answer. Just curious. Nothing political. Coincidental only.

  1. Unethical. Having a slug for a neighbor cannot be helped, but when you use that lot as your own, then yes something stinks in Denmark.
