Will celebrities influenced your presidential vote? Scarlett Johansson supports Obama?
Scarlett Johansson shows up at the Barack Obama campaign rally at the Marriott Hotel in Coralville past Wednesday to lend support to the Democratic presidential hopeful. Scarlett then gave a speech to a group of young voters in a conference room. She then took pictures with Obama’s fans and even drop a few signatures. Perhaps Scarlett’s appearance gave Obama a lift as he won the Iowa Caucuses beating Democratic rival Hillary Clinton. George Clooney supports Obama too!

- The only way a celebrity could influence my vote is if they were politically savvy like George Clooney. He's very political and knows what's going on in the world. His father Nick Clooney was always very active politically. They care about this country and injustices in the World.
- I can't honestly say that I know who she is. I've just heard the name. No, celebrities don't influence my vote.
- I couldn't care less about the opinions of celebrities, they are just as insincere as the politicians they claim to support. I assure she did this as a way to get her name in the papers. If she truly supports him great, that's her right.
- Generally a celebrity would negatively affect my vote. Most celebrities are not in tune with the average citizen or his/her wants or needs. They live in a superficial world absent the same environment as a normal citizen. Therefore their opinions are not as valid as those of a normal citizen. This is not to say that there aren't SOME celebrities who are aware of the situations of the general population --- just not many.
- Celebrities have an opposite effect on how I vote. I have more time on my hands to decide which candidate is best. While they gallop around the country and globe making themselves famous. Being influenced by charismatic political characters whilst having a limited grip on the issues can make these "Celebs" dangerous. Don't believe the hype!! many of Hillary's celeb supporters shake hands and have dinner with Castro and Hugo Chavez, This is very telling I think. I won't vote for her!
- no they won't
- One of the many reasons what's wrong with the Democrat party! 95 % of the celebertys know less then they do about politics and yet they believe every thing they shell out . Unbelievable !!!
- Absolutely not. They are for entertainment purposes only.
- The only celebrity that might have an inkling of an effect upon me would have to be highly intelligent, question authority, and speaks his mind. So as of now no, no celebrity has changed my mind. all it would do now is give me a sense of community.
- No, am not influenced by celebs. Do prefer the candidate with the most experience and qualifications for the job.
- If Clooney decided to support Obama then he can forget me ever paying to see anything he produces again! And I would advise others to do the same. Boycott Clooney productions!
- Ah no, unless you mean won't I be voting for...
- You see how much trouble the celebrities stay in,how they feel they are above the law.Them supporting a canidate only shows how far from me that canidate is.Friends with Scarlett has nothing to do with running this country.Neither does going to church with Oprah.
- Who's Scarlett Johansson ????
- No it matters not what some celebrity thinks of a candidate. They are only people just like me. I base my vote on what I think and feel about the candidate.
- i always thought these actors/actresses should stick to entertainment, as they know little outside their work....just at at Bridney Spears
- No, celebrities will not be influencing my vote. I am more likely to be influenced by experienced politicians who back the candidates and am most influenced by going on each candidates site to gauge their views and watch them in the debates. In my opinion the "what I'm running on" on each candidates website speaks volumes and so do the answers they provide in the debates. Anyone seeing the debates in Nevada would agree I think as it was fairly clear the democrats had similar fundamental beliefs but there were significant differences that came out. It all depends on which candidate alligns with your beliefs I think. I also think those who are being swayed by supporters may be short changing themselves if they don't get down to the facts. Good luck and be sure to vote!
- Celebrities do not influence my vote. The ones who I'm even aware of are not icons of good sense, nor are they admirable. I think that the amount of attention they get is ridiculous, and does not speak well of us. There are better things to pay attention to than the self centered behavior of people who have too much money, and nothing to do with their time.
- No....Very few celebrities know what it is like to live in the real world. The things that are important to the average American is something they don't comprehend. Really, how many of them have to worry about how they are going to stretch that last 20 bucks to feed their family till payday or the increase in crime in the average neighborhood. They don't have a clue.
