Is John McCain hearing the right illegal immigration message?

He says: "I get it. You want the borders secured." O.K. But is that the whole message that people want the politicians to hear? My understanding is that there are over 12,000,000 illegal immigrants in this country already and that McCain's amnesty plan would, not only, allow them to stay, but would allow them to bring in their extended families. I've seen figures that range from 30 to 40 million additional immigrants suddenly entering this country under McCain's amnesty plan. Who is John McCain listening to? I know he's not listening to me.

  1. I have to agree with you. The system is swamped by immigrants right now, bringing in many million more will not help. The trouble is, NO politician is willing to formally take a stand against illegal immigration because of the public backlash.
  2. Amnesty John wants to screw the "legal" middle class. That along with the McCain-Feingold assault on free speech is enough to ensure he'll never get my vote.
