When is the election for a new president for America? And when will they tell the Media who's the new president?

5. The election isn't until November. Right now we are just having the primaries, which means we're deciding who will get to run for President. Each state has their primary or caucus on different dates, but the final decision will more or less be made by mid-summer.

8. I think you need to do some MAJOR research on just how an election works, when and how it is done, etc. It is a very good thing that you are interested in knowing this! Look it up- you will learn so much more then you realize! GL! And dont listen to that STEVE guy who answered you- you are just learning and that is wondeful! And, yes it is in November but still do research and so you can understand more!!!

(Or, if November first is a Tuesday, the second Tuesday... just how they do it) They typically have most of the results of the election in by late that night (not very late, but decently late) . Results are typically told to the media as they become available. Of course, each American is actually voting for representatives to vote for the president in their place. That voting doesn't take place until later. However, representatives pledge to vote for whichever candidate each party is fielding, so its kind of an obsolete concept.

12. You must be in some Third World Country. It's not a matter of "they" telling the media who is the new preseident, it's more like the media telling us. I guess in some countries where the elections are rigged it might be the government telling the media who won, but that's not at all the way it works in the US. Media outlets have reporters and connections in all the voting places and as the votes are counted they keep a running total which begins just after the polls close in California. It's the media tabulations that give most Americans their first idea who is winning. Election Day is the first Tuesday in November.

15. Its always the first Tuesday of November of an election year. The media normally knows the popular vote election by days end. The Electoral College does not vote on Election Day. 16. I don't know man , but I hope we get something "different" this time. After all , different is change , and change depends on ethics , style , culture , race , education , gender , and personality of a person. I honestly think that where people are from , how they grew up , the motivations the person was raised with , the blends of politics that is presented to them just because of who they are , where their from , and the way society or life itself influences and or rubs off onto people who are different , who are in-charge ( leader ) can take a big turn and effect on the world. It's fact , we don't all get treated the same or have the same life experiances growning up , just becaause of sex , color , or structure of dicilplen. Example , some families are all police officers. Brother , sister , dad , and sometimes mom too. SEE there you go right there and SOMETIMES MOM. The whole history of the police force in this country including from the start of it is and has always been greatly effected just because the way we think , learned , and changed over time. If the leader of the white house changes , from a white male , to anything or anyone other than that , that could mean that the politically played foundation of the U.S.A. can run into the biggest changes yet that will change the whole world , and that will be a very unike , first time in the worls'd history , ( on earth ) , and one real hek of a revelution , just from having a black president or female president running the white house. The first of it's kind of revelutions ever , where the birth of the whole world changing AGAIN and a lot more than it ever has before! Reason being 1 the mentality of the white house will be the first time ran of it's kind by such a lucky person to be in that "hot seat" whom will be marking history and change the very second they sit in it , and 2ndly , the world will be impact so much influence that the face of the earth just may change too as the result. Can you say holy? ( ! )
