GOP: Does John McCain seem to be flip flopping?

Is John McCain a conservative in RHETORIC Only. He was well know as a GOP rebel in the Senate, but he now seems to be pandering to the conservative wing to win the Nomination. Shouldn't he just state his opinions and ideas instead of morphing to a desired group to win?

Public Comments

  1. He is caught in the middle of the road dodging traffic!
  2. He's awful, I'd almost vote for Hillary instead. Plus, I have heard that he is a bit unstable (uncontrollable temper, just the type you want as President).
  3. You are confusing him with Hillary. McCain is his own man and has the background to Be a great president. Having a POW history He knows how to handle stress and look at the total picture before making a decision. His service to this country is very unique.
  4. mccain makes kerry look like a school boy when it comes to flip flopping.
  5. not like john kerry ever flipped flopped bush in 08
  6. jeffpsd,if anyone has a vile temper,it's Hillary. Watch out for those flying lamps. Just ask any Secret Service man .
  7. I like him but a couple drawbacks like originating TSA costing US mil$ and border?? Anyway I'm looking into Huckabee and Hunter who has done some pioneer things in CA.
  8. John McCain is a waffler!!! Period.I have the utmost respect for him as a human being but he will make a lousy president.
  9. John McCain doesn't know what he wants. He is a war hawk one minute and the next he is dove of peace. He really should make up his mind and stick with it. He is watching too many polls. Besides, his chances of winning the presidency are about the same as the Jamaican bobsled team winning the gold in the next winter Olympics.
  10. Senator McCain is looking backwards at his better days gone bye.
  11. McCain is an old man who has had very serious health problems and who is past his prime. His own party dislikes him and his own party's base hates him. So don't expect the repubs and cons to vote for him. In addition, he is an apologist for the failed Bush war, so don't expect the dems and the libs to vote for him either.
  12. John McCain should hang it up - he is too old now & to think I voted for him
