Is this the age of the Republican Chickenhawk?
What do you think of Mitt Romney's "excuse" for his 5 sons not serving in the military? They are ALL assisting his campaign. Gotta love 'em Neo-Con hypocrites.

- They are Mormons. It is against their religion. Plus, they'll have to provide for their 10 wives. Romney is a great German American leader.
- Do all those pro-abortionists abort their children...
- The Bush daughters are too busy partying to serve in the armed forces. What about Cheney's daughter? Is she too old? Mitt Romney is a Nepotistic Neo-Con
- It's extreme to blame the Republicans for Romney's foolish answer. That said, my thoughts about that answer are as follows: * His sons have lives of their own, and shouldn't be used as examples to represent him. I'm far more impressed by a candidate who himself served in the military, than a candidate whose children do so, not because I don't think the service of those children is laudable, but because it lauds THEM far more than their parents * That said? Romney saying his sons' help on the campaign is an equivalent national service to that of people serving in the military is laughable. It's about as laughable as when George and Laura Bush said that the American public *is* sacrificing for this war, because we're seeing unpleasant things on the news. * Our country's leaders need a reality check.
- Is Romney really a neo-con? I mean, I guess he's close, but he isn't really a neocon on most issues, is he? Or is that just a pejorative you throw around to insult people? But I guess I don't understand the principle here. Do you imagine that everyone should serve in the military if they support the ideals? I support the ideals of the military, but I don't choose to serve. And it's not just because I didn't support the Iraq invasion. I just have other things that I can do better. I'd probably be a lousy soldier. Why would you expect me to serve in the army? It's an empty question. P.S. I don't even like Romney, but this is kinda a lame attack. The answerer above mine also makes good points, though. Working for a campaign is NOT equivalent to serving in the armed forces. That's just dumb. I think a lot of these people are just WAY out of touch with reality.
- No its the age of the Democratic hypocrite. You know the people that have no problem sending troops to Serbia, but balk at doing anything that actually serves American interests. And i would like to see the same question asked at the next Democratic debate just to see them make the same excuses for their children.
- The new motto of the Republicans! Do as I say, not as I do!!
- What about Barrack threatening to attack Pakistan? Doesn't that make him a chicken hawk?
- I don't think it's up to Mitt Romney to decide if his sons serve in the military or not.
- yes
- Yea, we see how many of the children of Obama, Hillary, Biden, Edwards have enlisted to go to Afghanistan. We saw how many Dem presidential candiates ever servered.
- Mitt Romney is the richest man ever to run for President. Obviously, he's not one of the "little people" like you and I, in SO many ways.
