Heck of an answer, yes?
When asked why none of the war supporting Mitt Romney's sons are serving in the military, the former Massachusetts governor said his sons were showing their support for the country by "helping get me elected." WTF kind of an answer is that???

- It's much easier to support a war when you know you don't have to fight it. I guarantee that if there was a chance that his sons would have to face active combat duty and he was president, the war would be over. He wont be elected president, he wont even get the nomination, so his sons should stop wasting their time " getting him elected" and start defending the country, fighting them over there.
- i can't think of an answer he could have given that would have gotten him out of that. that one was crap, but what could he have said? "they're afraid of bullets"? there's no good excuse for supporting a war you won't send any of your loved ones to fight in. try asking the house or senate this question and see what kind of pandering you get. probably something along the lines of "we don't support the war!.... anymore."
- A good answer. He was thinking on his feet. He knows that you can't give an honest answer to a question and get elected to an office. If you give an answer that shows a big part of how you really think, the press and the other combatants in the election will rip you a new one.
- As a liberal you are not used to honest answers, sad really. Welcome to the real world, where volunteer means no one HAS to do something.
- A crap answer. However, what his sons do is up to them. If they want to serve in the military, fine. If they do not, it is nothing to do with him.
