Is Mitt Romney acting the most presidential?
Everyone talks about how presidential he looks, but what about how he acts? Mike Huckabee zings people with one-liners and strums on his electric guitar. John McCain gives crummy jokes (steps all over them, actually) and talks about his record as a war hero. Fred Thompson, when he's actually campaigning, just likes to point out how conservative he's "always" been. Meanwhile, Romney gives what most pundits on both sides of the aisle call "board room presentations" on the problems facing the country. Styles aside, who's spending more time talking about the issues and how to address them? Who's running the most policy-driven campaign?
Public Comments
- Romney seems in control of what is discussed, most of the others field the ''if you are elected'' questions with 'ads' type responses. I find the field of candidates is lukewarm at best..on both sides.Inspiration, charisma, confidence, integrity of most is down on the scales. The 'media' is no help..in fact it is an obstacle because they focus on irrelevant peccadillos and minor misjudgements of the far past instead of picking apart their Public Service record to see exactly what sort of a person they are when they have the means to change things...new ways...or the same ol' ways. Unless Ron Paul is on my ballot,I won't vote for a president..I'll stay with state and local concerns.
- you got to be kidding.
