Will Daniel Tavares be to Mitt Romney, what Willie Horton was to Michael Dukakis?
A judge appointed by Romney released a convicted killer from prison against the Prosecutor's urging. The convict, Daniel Tavares, killed two more people, Brian and Beverly Mauck, after being released from prison by Romney's judge. Is this the issue Giuliani, McCain, and Huckabee have been waiting on to nail Romney with?
Public Comments
- No. The half-wit judge let him go, not Romney. If appointing bad judges was held against politicians, then Carter and Clinton shouldn't have been elected dog catcher. Dukakis had a personal hand in Horton's case. Dukakis also had plenty of other issues to be torpedoed by. Remember that picture of him "driving" a tank? How ridiculous was that? And let's not forget Kitty. She put more kegs into Boston harbor than the Tea Party.
- No, this election's "Willie Horton" will be Bernard Kerik, as an example of Giulianism. You want to beat Romney? Ask him what his position on an issue is... today. And what it was when he ran for Governor in 2002, and for Senate in 1994.
