What separates Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee on the issues? Please reference your answer.?

- The truth is a good place to start. Paul is the only one not scared to state it. The rest are just pandering to the idiot masses.
- Paul is a die hard constitutionalist and a nutcase on foreign policy. Huckabee and Romney are basically the same on most issues, but Huckabee is to smooth for my taste.
- Ron Paul has the same answer for everything..."What does the Constitution say?" The others (Democrats included) depend on strategy and timing to get elected. They think their unique ideas and new programs will get them elected. Ron Paul wants to cut spending and get rid of all these stupid programs we have. He is the only one truly unique!!
- Paul, while honest, doesn't really understand people's nature, and his policies reflect this. He thinks the muslims hate us for being in Saudi Arabia, but it is because they are told by the Koran to kill us. Romney really doesn't stand for anything. He flip-flops for different people to get their votes and attacks other candidates with misinformation. Huckabee, being a former pastor, understands people. Also, he sticks with his stances on the issues. He's pro-life, against gay marriage, understands what needs to be done in Iraq, and, while not necessarily what I would do, he can probably solve the illegal immigration issue.
- Taxes - Ron Paul supports the Fair Tax. I can't say enough about how unfair that tax truly is. Poorer people, including the Middle Class, would pay a much higher percentage of their income for goods and services than rich people would. And if it turned out that a 23% national sales tax couldn't support the economy, then they'd just have to raise the tax again, screwing poor people all over again. Mike Huckabee also supports the Fair Tax. In his case, though, even if we don't switch to it, he has a record of raising taxes consistently and alarmingly in his home state of Arkansas. Mitt Romney did not raise taxes one time as Governor, even though he did raise certain fees. A fee is voluntary for a particular service, though, unlike taxes. War in Iraq - Paul has said he would bring the troops home on his first day in office. I don't believe that's even practical, as engaged as we are over there. President Bush could start phased withdrawals right now and we still wouldn't be done in a year. On top of which, the Iraqi government and security forces could hardly defend themselves against hostile takeover (and I do mean hostile) by al Qaeda, Iran, or any other fundamentalist regime. Both Romney and Huckabee support the war effort, though I believe they would handle it differently. Like it or not, we made a mess over there, and we owe it to those people to clean it up. Illegal Immigration - All three support closing the border. However, Huckabee has a history of being soft on illegal immigrants, even offering tuition breaks to children of illegals. There has been controversy over Romney's hiring of a landscaping company that employed illegal immigrants, but it was never his responsibility to check the background of every employee of someone else's company. Do you ask the latino cashier at Wal-Mart if she's here legally? Tom Tancredo recently endorsed Romney's campaign as "honorable" and the best shot at securing the country against illegals. Education - Paul wants to eliminate the Department of Education. I don't know if Huckabee feels the same or not, but I know Romney doesn't. Those are the biggest issues on which the campaigns differ. You should check their websites for more info.
- Romney and Huckabee are former "STATE" Governors and have ZERO federal governmental experience......The same problem the current Mr.Bush had/has they would have to surround themselves with advisors,,,,,that very possibly could feed them very poor advice........Sound Familar???? Where as Ron Paul has been in Washington D.C. on & off since 1976 and knows exactly what D. C. politics is all about....He also is the ranking member of the Congressional banking/finance committee,,,,,and I'm sure has studied different ways to save the possible collapse of the dollar......which would be an economic disaster for many people. Thanks for the question. **********************************************************
- Paul's a non-issue. He's a kook! Just watch the re-runs of Meet the Press!
