How can repubes win in 08 when the third place dem candidate is beating out two of their frontrunners?

Former North Carolina Senator John Edwards continues to chalk up impressive margins over GOP presidential candidates in Rasmussen Reports surveys of potential Election 2008 match-ups. In the latest poll Edwards leads Senator John McCain (R) by 13 percentage points, 49% to 36%. Over the past month, Edwards has almost doubled his margin over McCain. In May it was Edwards 48%, McCain 41%. Edwards also crushes former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney (R) 51% to 33%. While still a rout, those numbers are actually a bit better for Romney than those from a month ago. who is the repube frontrunner then, rudy "I like to sleep with my cousin" gooliani it does make me feel better. I have never felt so alive.

1. First off, McCain is not a republican frontrunner. He will never be nominated because he's not even a republican. He's no more conservative than a moderate democrat. We don't need his kind. And it's too early to tell anyway.
2. Polls don't mean anything this early. If they did we wouldn't have a need for the election. If Hillary wins the dem nomination there will be a record turn-out of voters just to vote AGAINST her.
3. They can't. Edwards is popular with Democrat Men because he is very "girlish". Hillary is popular with Democrat Women because she is very "manish". Different strokes for different folks, eh?

5. Because the data you are analyzing is looking only at the support these candidates receive from within their party. The data you have now tells us nothing about what the playing field will look like a year from now. I think you are looking into the numbers too much. But if it makes you feel better, keep it up.

11. Interpret your poll results any way you want right now. We are more than a year away from the election and it is only a matter of time till the media will no longer be able to ignore the past history and lack of for all the democrat candidates. There is not one of them who is actually qualified. And just when was McCain the front runner for the republican party? He would be the front runner for the democrat party more than the republican party. And your hero Edwards will be destroyed in public debates within his own party. He is a fraud and that will clearly be demonstrated in the upcoming months. As for all these polls, when will some polster come ask me a question or who I would support? It is so very easy to manipuate these polls that they really are not of any value at all.
12. It is a long time until election day and the dirt has not even begun to be turned. Your front runner has had several allegations of fraud in her past and that is just the tip of the ice berg. Be prepared to relive every scandal from the Clinton years because she will have to answer for them as she was part of it. Obama is severely compromised with a land deal to launder money for a man that went to prison. Edwards is just plain stupid and that is all you have. You will be wishing for Kerry before it is over.
