Romney vs. Kennedy?

I can not understand this: How can the people of the State of Massachusetts elect Mitt Romney for Governor and also Ted Kennedy as a Senator? Talk about two opposite sides of the spectrum! What are they thinking up there?

1. Mitt Romney only started to flip-flop after he left office.
2. Mit Romney is a centrist rightster, and Ted is a trumped up liberal.. they're pigs from the same pen, affluent playboys with their feet firmly in the astro turf. Neither of them has a lick of integrity.. so actually they are very similar from my perspective..

8. Kennedy is simply one of the wall flower dinosaurs that is continually re-elected by name and name recognition. It's similar to the Arkansas confusion about how we could have elected Bill Clinton, and then re-elected him. Kennedy is a perfect example of what's wrong with politics besides the fact that he's been an alcoholic, accused of murder (never indicted), and constantly spews his old fashioned ill conceived rhetoric on the Irish catholic in his district. We will only know how dangerous he was when he's gone. I wouldn't put Romney in the same category with Teddy.
