If Mitt Romney becomes president, will the U.S. still be a Christian nation?
Drizzt: I know that, and you know I'm a screwball who asks screwball questions :) You're too kind, (((((uncle smiley))))) I put it up just for a bit, because Pangel suggested it. Who can say no to Pangel? (((Brother Manuel and my new hubby))) (((Drizzt))) Actually, Justin, Avi is a knockout. Baby sister puts me to shame :( (((Vishal))) I have several hubbies and wives here, Prince :)

- It's not a christian nation.
- He wont become a President! http://www.khanaleem.com
- It's not a Christian nation. Never has been.
- I Heard something on TV that said that Every Mormon is Subject to direct Orders from the Leader of the Mormon Church, so some people are hesitant about whether Mitt would be taking Orders from the Constituition or the Mormon Leader.
- Mormons are Christians. *sigh* and as people said, it isn't necessarily one now. Of course I know that. Just get tired of hearing it sometimes. lol don't worry, no hard feelings. And your picture just doesn't quite seem the same........lol (((ZILLA)))
- It certainly will not have a Christian leader. Mormons are a cult.
- is that really you? you are as gorgeous on the outside as you are on the inside.
- conundru, don't believe everything you hear on tv.
- Well, the U.S. doesn't have any national religion, it would interfere with the whole "freedom of religion" thing. So the president doesn't have any affect on people's religions. Just for the record, Mitt Romney is Christian, Mormons are Christians as we believe in Jesus Christ being the Savior of the world.
- The USA is a country of religious freedom. It will continue to be so. Who convinced you the US is a "Christian nation?" The US is a country of many religions and even no religion at all. Mitt Romney of course, is a Christian himself. Nice try. I remember the John Kennedy election. His opposition tried to claim he would be under orders of the Pope. That propaganda didn't work that time either.
- I don't know about that, but I like your new look. ;-)
- Nice to see you have lifted your wedding veil, my dear wife!
- What do you mean still? The founding fathers where not christian. They where deist (which is a form of agnostic but without the uncertainty)' The bible is not in the constitution, nor is it even mentioned anywhere in any document having to do with the government that is considered to be involved with its running or its purpose. So what do you mean by still? The only thing I can think of is population wise. The majority is Christian (registered atleast) Will this person becoming president make following your faith impossible? PArdon me, but I dont understand the question fish needs to try accually looking at mormons and what they do. They have a few cultlike activities, however they are not enough to classify it as a cult. Also They beleive in Jesus as the Savior. As the Christ. (Christ isnt his last name. Last names where not invented yet. Jesus the Christ means Jesus the savior. Christ is greek for savior)
- Yes. And we'll all get new special long underwear, too!
- The U.S. is not, never has been and never will be a Christian nation. Read your history, bub.
- Las time I checked FREEDOM OR RELIGION was not repealed (you remember the first amendment, don't you?) Christians are not the majority in the US, so the question is flawed.
- Yes and then I can have a couple of more wives. Ain't it great?
- Undoubtedly yes, by majority. By the constitution it's more of a Deist nation. Is Avatard as pretty as you?... (sigh)
- it never was - see my next question
- A) As they said, it's not a Christian nation. It is a nation which specifically forbids establishing a religion B) And as they said, Mormons are Christians. No farther from the Christian mainstream than Jehovah's Witnesses, Quakers and Christian Scientists. and C) didn't we have this debate in 1960 with Jack Kennedy?
- The US was a Christian nation in the first place? That's news to me........ Zilla, you look just like i pictured you! ^_^
- Hey!!! New look!! I like! Since I know you're sense of humor, I'd say you want me to say that we aren't a christian nation to start with, no matter what some people may say. Oh.. and he is a Christian, but you already knew that.. ;)
- Yes. So that's what you look like. What's odd is that's pretty close to how I pictured you. (((Zilla)))
- Probably, but we'll have to give up caffeine which will render three-fourths of the country brain dead. ((((Zilla))))
- The U.S. is a post Christian nation. However, I think because there are still some good churches sending out missionaries, God is having patience with us. But at some point, He will have had enough of our sinfulness and that will be the end of us as a nation; unless we make a turnaround, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. (my opinion) It's starting to look like Hillary's got it in the bag.
- II know this doesn't relate to the question but I'm confused, either that or you must have a polygamous marriage. Corrosion says he is married to you and in another post Slave of 12 Gods said she(he) was married to you. So is it a happy threesome or is there a ZIlla impersonator out there? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Arh66NjGUb_A3lmkwnp.YCnd7BR.;_ylv=3?qid=20071205165940AABhVPI
- It really isn't one now. I doubt it will become one again, there are too many people living here now, who are against God, to let that happen again. It would take a supernatural act of God's mercy and grace to restore this country's christian heritage!
- Mormons are Christians. Get your facts right.
- it's not a christian nation now...mitt romney isn't going to change that if he becomes prez.....only we can change what kind of nation we are.
- no, it will be the new zion come to earth. the capital will be moved to the promised land in st joseph, mo and mitt will rule in glory from the corn belt. a slew of executive orders in early 2009 will right the wrongs of american under garment wearing, caffeine consumption, etc. to qualify for welfare, everyone will have to don a tie and bicycle and roam the wilds of canada, helping our poor aimless northern brothers realize that they, too, are americans. then we will liberate mexico from the catholics. i saw it on a golden tablet somewhere.
- Since this country was built on Christian principles, we are a Christian nation. What does this have to do with Romney or any other person in government? No matter how many ignorant people state that they aren't MORMONS ARE CHRISTIANS!!!!!!!! How can a church called the Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-Day Saints not be a Christian religion? We believe in Christ!
