Why vote for Gordon Hinckley aka Mitt Romney for president?

Romney said he will not compromise his faith. His faith demands loyalty to Hinckley "in all matters". If elected, he would still be expected to follow the instructions of Mormon leadership with the same obligation as he would if God himself were personally delivering such instructions. Please understand the difference between Christian belief and Mormon. Christian's believe that our actions should reflect our belief, that we should try to act more like God wants us to, more holy or "God like". We know we don't stand a chance of being as good as He is, but we should still try our best. There is an eternity of salvation worth of difference between being "god-like" and "godhood", between trying to be more like Him and being equal to Him. Mormon's believe they can become equal and have the same divinity and perfection. This is completely different from the concept of theosis in modern mainstream Christian groups. They think they will exercise that power in their own universe, just like their god Elohim has all the power over this universe. They believe the universe is ever expanding, to accomodate all the exalted men who become gods, just like Elohim (their god) did. Their god is not the God of Christians.

1. Mitt Romney is a poor choice for president even setting aside the issue of his faith. He used to be pro-choice and pro-gay, now he is pro-life and anti-gay, will the real Mitt Romney please stand up? He will say or do anything to get elected. We need someone who actually has the integrity to take a stand and stay with it.

4. I don't trust Romney, in part because of his abortion flip-flop. The Mormon thing also worries me. What's Hinckley's stand on the war against islamofascism? Would Romney pick Hinckley for Vice President and then resign on command making his master President?
5. Is Gordon Hinkley Senate Majority Leader or is Harry Reid? His positions are OPPOSITE Mitt's. Stop hating Mormons. Vote for the guy that will run the country best. Stop promoting ignorance please.
6. It is not true that the Mormon Church would control the nation if a Mormon were elected president. In the Church we promise to dedicate all we have to God, but the presidency does not belong to any one individual, it belongs to the people. In fact, it would be contrary to Mormon teachings if Romney tried to hand over control of the nation to the Mormon Church. This situation is exactly analogous to the situation of the Mormon CEO. He pays a tithe on his own salary, but he does not pay a tithe on all the revenue generated by the corporation he heads because that corporation does not belong to him, but to the stock holders. I don't think the statement "I don't hate Mormons, I just hate Mormonism" makes any sense. That's like saying, "I don't hate black people, I just hate the color of their skin." 7. A persons religious beliefs say a lot about the person. If I feel the LDS religion is false and one of their members wants to lead my country I would naturally hold that against them. I am not taking orders from anyone who I feel cant even investigate their own church and know it isnt true. If he cant even take care of himself , I wont trust him to take care of me. There is overwhelming evidence out there that the church is a colossal fraud. They have committed so many crimes such as the Mountain Meadows Massacre and so forth that I am appalled that they are even still around. In the early Temple ceremonies, oaths were taken by the Priesthood to avenge the blood of Joseph Smith on this nation. Now one of them wants to be President? I think not !
