Exactly Which Mitt Romney is Running for President?

Will it be the new, pro-life Romney? Or will it be this guy? "I believe that abortion should be safe and legal in this country. I have since the time when my Mom took that position when she ran in 1970 as a U.S. Senate candidate. I believe that since Roe v. Wade has been the law for 20 years that we should sustain and support it, and I sustain and support that law and the right of a woman to make that choice." -Mitt Romney in a 1994 Senatorial debate "I respect and will fully protect a woman's right to choose. That choice is a deeply personal one, and the women of our state should make it based on their beliefs, not mine and not the government's." -Mitt Romney in a 2002 GOP acceptance speech Inquiring minds want to know. To the resoponder: "He was a governor in a blue state, of course he is going to do what the majority of people who put him in office want!" Leaders don't base their decisions on what a majority of people want. They base their decisions on their knowledge and convictions. The last guy who played the game you are advocating earned the name "Slick Willie."

  1. I am pro life myself, but defend women's right to choose. How does that make you bad.
  2. SO TRUE...ive been calling him the wolf in sheeps clothing....you dont wake up one day and decide to change your stand on abortion...VOTE NEWT , so we can survive!
  3. All politicians Flip-flop!! He was a governor in a blue state, of course he is going to do what the majority of people who put him in office want! Remember as public servants it's their job to rule and vote the way of the majority. He has adopted a new platform. Now that we see he is a politician why not also show the "good" he did for the state? Mitt might just be the person the republicans need to keep the white house with his excellent record while he was in office. Furthermore he stepped down from his duties knowing he was going to run president. He, unlike most of the presidential candidates, isn't take the tax payers dollars for jobs they can't be doing while running for Presidency! President George H. W. Bush was pro-choice before he was pro-life!!
  4. I'd be more concerned about the fact that Romney thinks the Garden of Eden is in Missouri or the fact that he's learned secret handshakes in order to get into the upper levels of Heaven. Oh, and his conviction that he's a God in training. But yeah, on top of all that, he'll tell you whatever he thinks you want to hear.
