Were you surprised the polls were wrong about Ron Paul and that he almost got 3rd in Iowa of all places?
We knew Romney and Huckabee were to dominate in Iowa with the religious vote but Ron Paul took first place (29%) among independent Republicans. It shows he has more support than what the polls believe, you'll see in New Hamshire

- How were the polls wrong? The polls said he would lose, and he did. Arguing the degree of loss seems really desperate.
- The actual vote Ron Paul received among Republicans was 10% and that was 5th place, Thompson received 3rd place. I was surprised Ron Paul received 10% and this is a good showing though don't parce the facts in odd ways to make it look better for anyone, just stick to the facts that he did very well at 10% and that was 5th place. We'll see how he does in New Hampshire.
- America has no soul an evil nation that has a tiny voice trying to take on the corporations that have left a trail of death. Ron Paul is America`s last hope tho Americans are to stupid to understand whats going on looking good on TV seems more important to the most moronic nation in history
- 5Th place isn't almost 3rd place he only beat the guy who didn't campaign there
- A) he was 5th place B) what is an independent Republican?
- 3rd, 10% is almost 3rd,,,,,,
- He doesn't have enough support. Some states have elected communists to the legislature... that doesn't mean we're going to have a communist president. So I'm not surprised that people would vote for him. I understand many of the reasons why people do support him... however there are way too many bad things that outweigh the good. We need a unifier.... among many other things... and he isn't it.
- ron paul was in 5th place behind fred thompson and mccain. Some preliminary polls showed him getting 3rd. He didnt. He did worse than the polls said he would
- I am not suprised that Ron Paul gained 10% of the Iowa Caucus. I also hoped that he would do better. And I think he will in other states. Ron Paul has a lot of "grass roots" support. I don't think the polls or the media do him justice. And what's worse, I think the typical voter casts their vote according to popularity (media saying a particular candidate is winning the polls). I guess most people just want to feel that they're on the "winning side", no matter what it costs in the long run.
- Yes he does! I don't really think the other two will make it in most other states, either.
- ROFLMAO Did you wake up and read the fantasy land LIEberal news paper again?
- Yes I was surprised at his strong showing. However, I'm not sure exactly how much of it is actual support or just trying to send a message to the other candidates as in my opinion he can not win the election.
