1. Because he is not, will not be, top tier.
2. Bussing in more supporters than any other candidate to the West Texas Conservative Women's association straw poll and chilli cook off does not constitute top tier. Straw polls are fund raisers not indications of support. Your guy has had plenty of media coverage - the fact that he cannot sell himself is not the media's problem. Remember, the last time he ran for president he got less than 0.5% of the vote. He has been soundly rejected by the American people before and is being rejected again.

4. Mainstream media prefers to base their opinion on landline polls, which are biased. So many people prefer not to answer any telemarketing 1-800 calls, a lot of people switched to cell phones, etc. Straw polls on the other hand represent real likely primary voters.

I feel we are at a crucial political point in American history....The Industrial Military Complex, under the guidance of the Neo-cons and Democratic front runners have/are trying their best to change America into an empire....At the expense of the middle & lower class of American wage earners. Currently, RON PAUL is the lone voice representing "We the People" and many Americans simply don't realize it......And they won't until they too become homeless! 7. Because straw polls don't mean anything in the real light of day. Straw polls are notorious for being padded with paid supporters and are nothing but vehicles to raise money. He's not a top tier candidate because he hasn't got the national support. I know Paul's supporters love to blame the media. The media reports what the trends are in this race. If he measured up in the national polls they'd be all over him, but he doesn't. Please don't be paranoid enough to believe that all the national polls are fixed by the media. I've seen two features on Ron Paul lately. One was in Time I believe, not sure what the other was - but they were both top magazines. Be grateful for that much. He got that attention because he was able to raise so much money so quickly and they wrote stories about him and his supporters because of it. That's a LOT of attention for a candidate who can't get above 8% in any national poll going.
8. Vag, Ron Paul NEVER was a second tier candidate. He's a TEN term congressman with an ABSOLUTELY 100% perfect constitutionally based voting record. I mean ask his constituents that he PERSONALLY represents! Ron is literally beyond reproach regarding his honesty, representation & experience for our commander in chief of our great republic! I can think of ONLY One more qualified person than representative Paul as our commander in chief, but, our heavenly Father has not sent Him yet to rescue us!
