Why does everyone like Ron Paul?

What is it with this guy? why do so many young people like him? I myself do not like him just because he wants to pull the troops out ASAP. That will be a slap in the face to all who have worked so hard to clean up Iraq and Afghanistan. So please someone tell me why does this guy have a blimp for?

  1. Dont know... I cant stand him, that little "whinning to mommy " voice every time he talks.
  2. Because he is honest and he tells things like they are and not how the Washington politicians WANT it to be.
  3. who is ron paul?
  4. Because he is willing to say what a lot of people are thinking but are too afraid to say.
  5. Those that like him think that we can just pull out our troops without any repercussions. If they think that they have no clue. j
  6. I'm not sure. I'm not that big on him, a lot of my friends are, But ehhh, not me. Plus I was riding down the road the other day and a ton of long dreaded hair, tattoo'd and pierced people were campaigning for him. WHICH THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH US TATTOO'D OR PIRECED PEOPLE (thats all I hang out with). I just wouldn't trust a bunch of them to decide our future :]
  7. Not me. He also wants to get rid of our govenment the way it is. That would be hard to do.
  8. If you mean by "everybody" a bunch of spammers on the Internet, I think the USA is a lot bigger than that and most of us think Ron Paul is a bore, just like his Uncle Ross
  9. He is a breath of fresh air...doesn't care how he comes across or if he is "politically correct." He just throws it out there and let's it fall where it may. Though I don't agree with his stand on almost all of the issues, I love to hear him when he is interviewed because he doesn't give slick, standard, canned answers I mean, come on, isn't it a nice change from all the "robots" we usually see? I think because he is so unconventional is why people like him.
  10. Because he doesn't mince words. I count myself among the people who can read the invisible subtitles in political speeches, i.e. what they say is codified - and a lot of garbage. How refreshing people like Ron Paul are in comparison!
  11. Clean up Iraq and Afghanistan ? Whatever that is supposed to mean. I have an issue with immediate withdrawl, but it's clear we need to work on it. People like Ron Paul because they like freedom. They'd like to keep more of their money and like to get some of their personal freedoms back. People are tired of big abusive government. But it's hardly everyone.
  12. i prefer ru-paul , kidding aside, everyone thinks by pulling our troops out of iraq, afghanistan , is going to solve problems quickly, however, this is an enemy that will attack ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, on innocent civilians like you and i, they are too coward to fight like an army
  13. I don't think it is a slap in the face to the folks that have given so much for us in Iraq / Afghanistan. Those folks all need to come home now. I think 4K are dead. Eventually someone has to say enough blood has been shed. I don't agree with this far , think our military and their families have and will pay too dearly. I'm undecided about candidates still.
  14. I was thinking about this today. I wonder if it's for personal gain of some sort... no, that's most democrats, with their Healthcare gimmick. Then I thought it was because they just hate Bush, no, there are others that are polar opposites of Bush. I figured, it might be a sense of pride in our country, of fairness, of sanity. That must be it. A willingness to admit mistake, in a time of turmoil defines a Ron Paul supporter (most of them). Some voted for Bush, some voted for Kerry or Gore, but all have one thing in common. A fully operational BS meter. you stated: "That will be a slap in the face to all who have worked so hard to clean up Iraq and Afghanistan." You know what IS a slap in the face right now? My friend is dead from this stupid war. Friend since the 3rd grade. He was too poor not to join the Marines, and thought it would be an easy financial fix. Then he went from Japan to Iraq, he didn't want to, and I have emails to prove it. He was about to come home, and died 3 weeks before he should have. His wife had a baby 4 months early, probably due to the stress. That baby STILL has lung problems, and weighed like 15 oz's when born. Fit into your palm. He's 3 now, and the medical insurance provided by the government is up. You tell me what a slap in the face is. You tell me why we were told we would be showered in candy and roses when we entered this war. You tell me why Iraqi oil profits were to be used for reconstruction, not our tax dollars (Wolfowitz, who now has a chushy job at a really large bank, you might want to look it up). You want a slap in the face? You tell me why we haven't found Osama, and why Bush has said it's not a priority? Why are we in Iraq still, and not finding that jerk from Afghanapakistan or wherever. Does he even exist? How's that for a slap in the face? Semper-fi R.S, 1974-2004.
  15. I don't believe it is a slap in the face because I am tired of wasting countless American Lives & American Tax Dollars to Police ungratefull Countries half-way around the World.- Terrorism will probably continue to abound in these Countries for many years regardless of our intervention. Our Original " Mission " was supposed to be merely to train the Military in these Countries to protect themselves. ----Our " Mission " was scheduled to end many years ago & still we maintain that they require further training.----As Bill O'Reilly said of this training: " We could have trained Gomer Pyle by now ! "
  16. Well, I agree on many of his issues, because he's a strict constitutionalist, a die-hard libertarian, and a non-interventionist, which by no means a so-called "isolationist". He wants the GOP to go back on their ideology of having minimal government, and bring the troops home. But no, they won't do that because they're neo-cons, which isn't the traditional Republican thinking. and here are a few other suggestions why his message is strong. -Never voted to raise taxes. -He is very anti-war=]. -Wants to bring all troops home, including from the unneeded 700 bases around the world. If that were to happen, you'd be paying waaay less taxes. -Favors a withdrawal from the UN and NATO. AS it says in the constitution, "entangle alliances with none", but he advocates free trade and diplomacy with everyone. -And get rid of the unAmerican and unConstitutional Patriot ACT, IRS, FedReserve, and the Dept. of Homeland Security.
  17. I understand your feelings about the troops, but as Dr. Paul has said we should not continue this war just to save face. We made a mistake, and are there illegally to begin with, because of bad information .Many in the military feel this way as shown by the fact that they are donating more to Dr. Pauls campaign than any other. He has a record of honesty and integrity that is hard to fault. He always votes as the Constitution directs. Our founding fathers counciled that we should not entangle ourselves in other countries affairs and that we should not start wars. It is not our job to be policemen of the world, but to do a good job of protecting our own borders. People have gotten together to help Dr. Paul get the attention that he is not being given by the main stream media. That is because he is not the friend of corporate power. Therefore the blimp and many other creative ideas have been conceived to find other ways to let others know about this most special man. Dr.Paul. has a national reputation as the premier advocate for liberty in politics today. Dr. Paul is the leading spokesman in Washington for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency. He is known among both his colleagues in Congress and his constituents for his consistent voting record in the House of Representatives: Dr. Paul never votes for legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the Constitution. He believes in the following * Rights belong to individuals, not groups. * Property should be owned by people, not government. * All voluntary associations should be permissible -- economic and social. * The government's monetary role is to maintain the integrity of the monetary unit, not participate in fraud. * Government exists to protect liberty, not to redistribute wealth or to grant special privileges. * The lives and actions of people are their own responsibility, not the government's. As the Constitution states, we should protect our country, but not go elsewhere to make war, as in Iraq. He would bring our troops home, and take us out of an illegal war that is costing us trillions that we are borrowing from China. Our dollars are fast becoming worthless on the world market, they are being printed like monopoly money, but Dr. Paul has the cure. Rein in the federal reserve!( It wasn't in the Constitution) We are losing our freedom very quickly of late, The "top teir" candidates, either party, offers the same as what we have seen thru the last two administrations. The main stream media will not tell you much about this man as he does not represent the agenda of the international corporate world. But, If you do not want to become part of the one world system that will put you on your knees, educate your self, donate your time, and money, become a patriot and join the Ron Paul Revolution
  18. If everyone liked him he would poll higher than the 2% he is.
  19. He would like to be free AND alive, and he knows that we can.
  20. He has offered a lot of food for thought. What i see and know now? That many of the answers to complex problems we face are very simple and can be accomplished very easily.
  21. I wouldn't say it is accurate to say that EVERYONE likes Ron Paul. I am a libertarian and I will not be supporting him. Mostly because the young people supporting him act like bigoted brainwashed sheep following the rest of the herd instead of thinking for themselves. Ironically, the only people who seem to have their heads on straight when supporting him are his White Nationalist bretherin, and I'll be damned if I get lumped into their lot. The fact is, Ron Paul's supporters are a VERY vocal minority, but a minority nonetheless. When actual elections roll by, we will know for sure.
  22. Everyone doesn't. That's why he's in the low single digits in the polls.
  23. HE IS THE ONLY SEMI-HONEST POLITICIAN I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFETIME , RON PAUL IS FOR THE PEOPLE FIRST, GO RON PAUL!!!1===========================================================================
