Thumbs down for the haters, Ron Paul is awesome. What specifically drew such passion in your support for him?
The man is not a loon, a nutjob, racist or anything else you smearing little falafil faces want to call him. The man is honest decent, hardworking and one of the most intellegent politician there is. The man voted against and doesn't take part in the LUCRATIVE pension plan Congress voted for themselves. he doesn't lie and cheat and steal. For anything bad you haters say I can find something 1000x worse for your choice in presidency so get off his nutz and get with the Revolution SNitches. ROn Paul for President 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Ron Paul....yea like he has any chance? LOL If we wanted an anti-war coward to vote for, why not just pick from the Democrats. We don't want or need a pacifist appeaser in the GOP
- The top tier candidates are bought and paid for by special interests and elites and ignorant amerikans will vote for them. We warned you. You'll figure it out when these traitors destroy your republic. or you can vote for someone that will save this country, like Ron Paul.
- Hes really good in the media like Journalism articles I have read for him. Unfortunately I am not aware of the Revolution Plans? I was not asked about this. He does have good record and I have been studying but, I do think Duncan Hunter would be a better candidate and president. I don't want to throw my vote away.
- Awesome? Hardly. Nobody's awesome in politics.
- I don't hate him I just don't agree that he's electable. And, don't be mistaken, he's as much of a mainstream politician as the rest. I also haven't seen, so far, that his political I.Q. is any higher, or lower, than any other candidate. Besides, how do you, personally, know that he doesn't lie, cheat, or steal??
- Ron Paul is a breath of fresh air. That's pretty much what drew my resources (meager as they may be) towards him. If someone better comes along, I will listen, as long as they have as distinguished a career and record. He appeals to both sides, and I know this from personal experience. He's usually well received by everyone I talk to about him, if they are interested at all in politics. I only talk if the situation warrants. The only ones that tend to not like him (immediately, but often soften up), are the ones that listen to AM talk radio all the time. Savage, Levine, and others marginalize him. Mancow had him on, and it was pretty good.
- ever hear of ross perot, ron does not have a chance.
- I don't understand why yahoo supports such politicians. In other countries your questions would have disappeared and you'd have been fired. In Q/A fr. this kind of question is forbidden whoever it is about. Will your question stay so long if it was about Hillary Clinton ? This man is awful. He's a kind of a guru of a sect. His supporters are just sectarian fanatics. They can't hear any reason. That's not because you agree some of his political choices that you have to bless his whole speech. Just care. Well sorry if i miss something : he's not really a libertarian he's a minarchist... He's for CCC. Well either you don't want any government or you do wnat some. Cops and corps will protect illegitimate power against people... Courts will only charge burglars neither screws and despoilers *and you know that*. That means *no public school*, *no healthcare*, no aid for disabled people... is that what you want ? Maybe you do, so why do you want *any* government ? Do you really think that money can't buy your protection ? Peace : Is he against war or againts war in Iraq ? don't you see the difference ? He's not a pacifist at all. Is he ? Don't you undersand that he diserves the same hustings as George W. Bush in 2000. Was George W. Bush telling he was going to make war in the whole planet in 2000 ? No he did not. He just have more punch, he's younger, and is supported by louder voices. And his ideology is purest - worst. @ freentnut that is a counter-revolution : it's a novlang revolution. Open your eyes : if you are fed up with reps vote democrat. If you aren't fed up with them, at primary elections don't *vote for someone who pretends to be honest just vote for someone who *is* honest (and don't need to tell)
- I heard of him in 1988 when he took the place of another candidate as Libertarian party candidate for President. He like his stance on foreign intervensions which are none. His getting on the gold standard. The fact he takes no Pac money. Never voted for a tax increase. He wants to close departments in the government. I could go on and on but won't. The only one that will run on a small government platform and actually stick to it.
- How does anyone know if one lies or cheats? Ron's record speaks for itself, and the best anyone can come out against him, is what you mentioned, which has no basis in fact. All the mainstream media can do is twist words and meaning. Unfortunately, that is what people sometimes hear first, and it's hard to change your first impression. My first impression was, "oh look, someone that actually makes sense, and wants to defend the foundation our country was formed on, the constitution!". That about sums it up. If you hate Ron Paul, you hate America. If you DISLIKE Ron Paul, that is your right, just like it's my right to like the good Dr. I think a multifaceted ex airman, doctor, and 10 time congressman would be a better choice for president than a career politician, or actor, or mayor.
- I think what drew out the passion in me was seeing that speaking simple truth could elicit such hatred from people. He's probably the last honest man in Washington. A vote for him is certainly not wasted. I would rather vote for a winner and lose than vote for some loser to win.
- Most will see and/or experience it here soon enough on their own. When you get hit on the personal level. it'll wake you up fast. Your personal corporate status(i.e. entity) is our weakest link. I cannot stress this enough. If they can't beat you on the playing field, they will most certainly come after this. And it will be very subtle. I know just from experience. Also be very aware and leary of foreign corporations(i.e FKA's). Especially from Europe. Like i said this is bigger than what most ppl know about.
- Yes, Ron Paul for president! Even the media tries to censor him: http://www.rense.com/general76/proron.htm http://www.rense.com/general76/padul.htm http://www.rense.com/general76/paul.htm
- Ron Paul is the only member of Congress who takes the Constitution seriously.
- Who in the hell is Ron Paul? All politicians have sold their souls to the Devil. It will all come out later... it always does.
- I really believe Ron Paul speeks straight from the heart. He doesnt side step the issues. He is for the constitution AND for the people. No one else seems to even mention the constitution. They seem to avoid it like the plague.
- paul is a marxist goof
- I like it because it is a Revolution, thats what we need. Count me in.
- People who speak against Ron Paul, or pretend not to know who he is... can't handle the truth. I can't understand for the life of me, why "true" Americans don't want to grasp what he is speaking. He only speaks what is good for the people. He is the "BEST" candidate running for Pres. '08 & I'm am surely voting for him. He will be the one to save our country from our own government.
- I was drawn to Ron Paul after hearing him speak. I have never in my life felt the honesty this man puts forth. He believes in what he says and he more importantly LIVES it. You can check his voting record. I have never felt so strong about a politician! Ever! This man knows what our founding fathers had in mind and folks, what we're living now....ain't it! It is time for a change. Americans are frustrated. We're losing our liberties. There hasn't been a problem solved in Washington in YEARS. The powers that be continue with a war that people don't want, raise taxes with the stroke of a pen, treat the Constitution like toilet paper. I've had it!! Most people I know have had it too!!! Wake up America! Ron Paul '08!
- Thanks LilDebunker, grown ups that still think like children should be scolded. I had Hated anything associated with politics @ at an early age because I saw it caused so much arguing among grown ups. I started hearing about Ron Paul over 20 years ago because I was a Gold panner, and a Gold stock investor. Somehow I heard that Ron Paul was pro Gold. I read up on his views, and lo & behold agreed with just about everything he said. I registered as an Independant. I never liked the 2 Presidential candidates in the last 3 elections and wrote in Ron Pauls name for President, knowing he wouldn't recieve many votes. You see, I vote with my conscience and if I don't know enough about a candidate I leave it blank on the ballet. I am quite nervous about going to my first ever political meeting next Monday, a meet-up Ron Paul meeting in my area. Somebody has to try to save this country from a tyrannical take over, and Ron Pauls the man to do it, supported by the last few real American Patriots. A Vote For Ron Paul is a Vote For the Constitution! *******************************************************
