What will happen to the Ron Paul Revolution if he does not win the Republican nomination?

Public Comments

  1. Like all revolutions, they come to an end and go away.
  2. He said he won't run as an independent, or on another ticket, so that would be the end of his chance of running in '08.
  3. Despite, anything anyone including himself might say to the contrary, Ron Paul would run on a third party, not with intent of winning, but with the intent of making a point that Americans desire something more than what's out there.
  4. Would love to see him go independant but I doubt if he'll do that.. If not elected lets just hope some of his ideas have made a big enough stand to do something about them and if that happens his run for president was worth every second.
  5. just hope they dont turn into radical militants.
  6. Paul says he will NOT run a third party campaign and I think that doesn't sound much like a revolution. It sounds more like a party loyalist. We will see. He may just be trying to ensure the RNC takes him seriously.
  7. Regardless of what happens, we will still support Ron Paul and fight for liberty.
  8. Certainly, Ron Paul was aware that his chances were slim to none to get the Republican nomination. We hope he runs as an independent.
  9. What we do goes on in eternity. The effect of getting his message out will bring truth to where it hasn't ever been. But..I believe it's a moot point because Ron Paul will win. The foolishness of the other candidates has several more months to be made clear. Sally B has no evidence for her conjecture, of course.
  10. Guess they'll sit back and watch him spend all of THEIR money running again for his congressional seat from Texas. The Texas Republican Party thanks the millions of people who have filled his coffers for him so they don't have to do it! OR they'll sit back and watch him live lavishly on THEIR contributions when he retires!
  11. He will support dems cause that is what he is, voter will go dumocratic ticket.
  12. Ask Ross Perot, he'll tell you. Some revolution. One spin?
  13. He's already done so much, so many people have woken up to what is really at stake, and many others will run for office using his platform as a model. Many liberty minded folks will also take the effort to nominate and vote for these types of people, and take back our government from the inside. I'm not just talking about POTUS, but Congress, and Senate, and even the local levels. That IS the revolution. One cannot predict much at this point. One cannot compare him to anyone that ran before, because before the media had a stranglehold on public thought and discourse. The internet with "web 2.0", with it's interactivity (youtube born in 2005, facebook, myspace, etc), is a new concept - and almost surely a paradigm shift in the way politics happen, and how truth is perceived. John McCain: "I spent Thanksgiving with the troops, and their message to you, Mr. Paul, is let them win." Ron Paul: "I didn't go on a taxpayer-funded trip to see the troops, but they wanted me to let you know that they're sending more money to me than any other presidential candidate."
  14. Ron will not go away, he will only grow in popularity, I expect him to be seen as a visionary people as a whole are confused by the media and their apthy to politics when it gets bad enough people might pay attention and will wish they had have been more involved the suffering in americas future is reverse able but i am losing hope in the people..
  15. I was completely apathetic and conned by the neo-cons. I have started to work with my local Libertarian party and will offer my writing skills to speeches. I believe he is inspiring a new movement of young people back to individual liberties. I now have hope again for the future.
  16. My hope would be that a movement is started for a strong 3rd party that will extend forever. Ross Perot is not a good example because he had not the stomach to stay in the saddle because of his position in the financial world. Ron Paul has the dedication and the partriotism to stay with a 3rd party as long as he lives---lets just pray that he goes real far in the upcoming election
