Did the Ron Paul revolution fizzle?

He barely registered on most peoples radar in Iowa

Public Comments

  1. Who?
  2. Paul got fizzled before the revolution ever got under way....
  3. Ron Paul is an elf with Mickey Mouse's voice.
  4. I heard he was going to dig a ditch on the border of Texas and Mexico, fill it with oil, and light it on fire to keep illegal immigrants out. What a waste of tax money.
  5. He has had such trouble getting mainstream media attention that his chances were nil from the get-go.
  6. he did better then the front runner giuliani. People in Iowa and one caucus is wayyyy too early still.
  7. No, the war is against him. But his ideas won't fade away.
  8. this is one caucus......we haven't even had a primary yet. jeez
  9. ron paul is a computer phenomena and believe it or not the computer is not the biggest thing in the world, well it is in some ways, but doesn't compare to those that don't have them in their homes or use them in their work life every day, and that is a lot of people! so the radio and tv still have it way above this net! all you get by coming here is to lose any real privacy that you might have lol, I think if any of us could ever get to that we might not do it so much, lol it is interesting meeting so many new people like you and the others here though that is all it is, not the place to get elected!
  10. The fat lady hasn't sung yet.
  11. Not at all. He beat Rudy, he got 10% of the vote, and it's only 1 state. Let's take a wait and see approach to this for now.
  12. Not really. Ron Paul got about 10% of the vote - not great, but respectable. He came very close to third, and he easily beat Giuliani. That's as well as any reasonable person could have expected him to do, and much better than most people would have predicted six months or so ago, even if it's not up to the unrealistic hopes of some of Ron Paul's hard core backers.
  13. he has raise more money than the rest of the gop candidates put together. plus he did better than rudy
  14. Really? He got 10% of the vote in a state he spent no money in and didn't campaign in. Are you sure you shouldn't stick to block building or whatever you actually have knowledge of.
  15. Fringe candidates are largely ignored when it comes down to choosing. And a revolution? Come on! Just unworkable, idealistic notions supported mostly by the young and naive.
  16. He won 10%, more then political cowards, such as yourself-who are afraid of the truth and truthful candidates-have expected. This is a good start, and please God, he will do better.
  17. Because Ron Paul is a Democrat is Disguise. How can he be a Republican when he agrees with Democrats more than he does with his own political party?
  18. He did beat Giuliani, though. Thats pretty interesting.
  19. The "Ron Paul revolution" is the delusion of a rather loud obnoxious but comparatively small number of computer junkies. Lets put it in perspective. He finished fifth out of six people beating only the guy who didn't spend one hour or one dollar in Iowa. His national numbers are about 4%. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/us/republican_presidential_nomination-192.html
  20. no it didn't , and he did better than you are saying
  21. he generated 8,000 more votes than Giuliani so i wouldn't exactly say that he "barely registered" and has much more money in his campaign coffer than McCain, so i wouldn't discount him just yet. kinda' heartening to see that someone the media has been avoiding like the plague has managed to garner such strong support against the odds. don't support him, just like the idea that the little underdog nipping at people's heels won't go away.
  22. whats wrong ? worried ? Ron had 29% attendance in Iowa resulting in 10% overall....and by media standard's....that's huge ! if he had landed the 29% , you would hear the media making more excuses for his popularity......he still beat rudy......lets see what NH has too say.........
