why are the Republican and Democratic partied so scared of Ron Paul?

i found this interesting, and would like some input. here is the link. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread319326/pg1 i know that more information is needed, but why all of the sudden did they cancel this straw poll? Beth, i do not know where you get your stats from , well yea i do you get them from MSM(main stream media). but if you would like to look at this page on CNN and then maybe answer the question. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/debates/scorecard/youtube.debate.112807/results.html sorry Beth, not you i mean ohiounderfire http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/debates/scorecard/gop.debate/results.html here in this video, Ron Paul supporters are rejected from voting in another staw vote in texas. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDnWT4gCJSE&eurl=http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread300335/pg1 here is a link to the NY post talking about rudys poor results in a poll, that they left out Ron Pauls 3rd place. http://www.nypost.com/seven/10212007/news/nationalnews/rudy_is_easy_pray_at_confab.htm here is a vid of the "fair and balanced" fox news on Ron Paul http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/october2007/301007CENSORING.htm

  1. becouse they dont know him
  2. I'm not sure who Ron Paul is. Is he just another wild card?
  3. I'm not scared of Ron Paul, maybe they are just scared that he would actually be an improvement.
  4. They know that he's got a real following.
  5. Maybe because Paul's positions are coherent-he has the courage of his convictions. The fact that he voted against the authorization to use force in Iraq make Hillary's rationalizations to do otherwise look lame.
  6. Because he's a nut case, and nut cases are scary! Thumbs down, please. Please? A lot, okay? Vote for Rudy!
  7. Because maybe he is pitied. After all he is a sick man.
  8. he's at 4% in the poles...dont think either realizes he's even running
  9. I'm not scared of him, I just don't agree with him on a few points.
  10. scared...no...apathetic yes..because they know his chances are barely negligible.
  11. Because true coservatives love what he is saying, so do many independants. Democrats are worried their base will side with Ron Paul, because the democrats haven't given them a candidate who is opposed to the war. Once the anti-war dems join the Ron Paul Revolution he will surely win.
  12. Because he won't play ball. They cannot control him. Right or wrong, they cannot pull his strings.
  13. Ron Paul will make sure the Republicans & Democrats dont keep expanding government. As said above, the democrats fear a anti war republican will win, and the republicans fear a constitutional conservative will win. *The portion of video I saw, the crowd did seem a bit unruly (rughtfully so as money was stolen from them), but it did start after the action broke loose. I would have loved to see it from the beginning. However it is unfair that someone would pay to cast a vote, and then it is cancelled as soon as the organizers guess who will win because of poll turnout. I hope everyone got their money back. Both the 35$ seats, and 5$ voters.
  14. He wants to change America in real ways, instead of in ways that just make people feel good about themselves.
  15. I am not scared of Ron Paul. I do not agree with him on a few of his positions, but he scares me not at all. He actually is one of only a few republican candidates that are not pushing the continuation of the neocon agenda to bankrupt the USA
  16. Ron Paul is not beholden to lobbyists or special interests in D.C and he could shake things up in Washington. He is a threat to the establishment.
