Ron Paul for President? Can we get better than this?

When you look at the current crop of candidates you find things in their past that have come to haunt them...everyone of them except Ron Paul. Since he became a political figure in 1976 he has remained true to the Constitution in word and deed in his voting and in authored legislation. He has no "bad" record to his credit. He is shunned by almost everyone in the House, and for good reason. He puts their feet to the fire, so to speak. So why not vote for someone who will stand up for what the "Founding Fathers" stood for when they established this great country on unerring principles? Conservatives and Liberals will find fault with him because he views the Constitution, as originally written, to be the rule of law as it was intended. That gives me even more reason to support him and vote for him. I personally am tired of the bastardization of the Constitution to fit the whim and whiles of any wind that blows through the legislature. If you have a better candidate, convince me.

  1. Personally, I think he has a better spot right where he is. This campaign is going to be about who can pander most to grab the centrist vote. Paul is not that guy. The government needs more extraordinary dissent and internal critics these days and he can best serve the constitution and the American people by acting as a strong voice in congress and a check against whoever takes the white house this time around.
  2. I'm with you, dude. Ron Paul is the best candidate for president in 2008. Heck, he should be president NOW! He has my vote! http://www.ronpaul.org/
  3. "Conservatives and Liberals will find fault with him because he views the Constitution, as originally written, to be the rule of law as it was intended." No, neocons and liberals will find fault with him. Real conservatives are constitutionalists. Paul/Tancredo 2008.
