Ron Paul for President?

For those of you supporting Ron Paul (my biggest gripe with him is he is anti-war which in my book means he is pro US becoming an Islamic state), WHAT issue of his has you determined to vote Ron Paul? Okay, if I'm ";misinformed", inform me. What is Ron Paul's stance on national defense? Okay, I've struck a nerve, good! Time for dialogue. I suppose then you or most would disagree that Islamic fundamentalists pose a "clear and present danger" to the United States? Next, if we don't take the fight to them, don't you believe they would bring the fight to us? That may happen yet anyway when roadside bombs and suicide bombers become commonplace in our cities. Ron Paul is pro FAIR TAX and DOWN WITH IRS and I commend him on that position and support him. Suport war? I don't support war, but I do support the troops we put in the field to preserve our Republic and the freedoms that so many of our citizens seem to take for granted. I believe I may have been misinterpretted, maybe in the phraseology of the question. I am simply looking for the reasons others are supporting Ron Paul. I have not made up my mind yet and haven't ruled him out entirely. Just looking for some intelligent dialogue, thank you. Ducktown, we have also sent Border Patrol agents to JAIL for doing their jobs. I am all for stopping illegal aliens as the border, close it down, fence it up whatever it takes. For those taking the stance we should bring all our troops home and defend our borders, didn't Pearl Harbor prove we were not unreachable? And didn't 9/11 reinforce that belief? With the technology available to Banana Republic dictators, should we sit at home and wait to be slapped back to consciousness? How many of our citizens need to die before we wake up?   9. For me it was a bunch of issues that had been bothering me for years. not in any particular order: 1. The value of our dollar 2. Overspending by the government 3. The Patriot Act 4. The war on Terrorism, and what a joke it is to the American People. 5. Social Security.. I was taught in school that I would never see any of the money the government takes from me. 6. Over-Taxing... and over spending is another form of tax. 7. I'm sick of the government in my life, and I would rather have less of it, than create a bigger government.

We have sent some of the best border patrols from the national guard to Iraq, meanwhile millions of illegals are flooding into our country. Our foriegn policy is costing TRILLIONS of dollars. The country national debt has topped 9 Trillion and the U.S. dollar is worth less today than it was yesterday and it will be worth even less tomorrow. The Canadian dollar is worth more for the first time since I've been alive. The Soviet Union collapsed in one day when their currency hit rock bottom. They didn't lose the cold war because they didn't have enough weapons. They lost the cold war because they spent to much on them. We are heading for a monetary crisis and Ron Paul is the only candidate who wants to do something about it.

I believe that once we pull our military bases off of their holy land in Saudi Arabia, and let Israel defend itself with U.N. support and not just Heavy U.S. support that they will look at us as less of a threat!   13. Look, the Islamic militants will not, I repeat, will not attack us anymore unless we leave their holy land! We've been occupying their territory for a long time. Does the MSM give you all the facts, or something? We just need to leave them alone seriously. So what motivates them to attack us? Let's see, we overthrew the government of Iran in 1950, we've been bombing Iraq for 10 years since the early 1990's, and now, we are building 14 permanent bases on Iraq! And you think they shouldn't have a reason to get mad? What if China, who currently has the biggest active armed forces, invaded the U.S. and set up bases here? And I know you wouldn't welcome that, you would get up and pick up your weapon, and try to get rid of them, right? So that's it, if we just basically leave their land, they will not attack us for any reason just so as long we leave them and their territory alone.
