Do you think President Elect Ron Paul will keep his promise to keep the consitution the law of the land?
The reason I ask is because the current republican repsident bush has destroyed civil liberties and made the US simular to a police state where people are afraid to speak out against the curropt regime in office. Do you think President Ron Paul will be different? Oh and I call him president because the other candidates I wouldnt pay a wooden nickle for

- He seems like a honest guy, so probably.
- Definitely. Ron Paul is the only Presidential candidate (with experience) who has a track record of consistently supporting the United States Constitution. The rest are a bunch of spineless puppets.
- YES... and I pray he wins the election.
- That made me laugh, a Presidential Candidate keeping their promise... ha ha ha ha
- He might. I disagree with him on Immigration but other than that he has been consistent in that he votes "no" on unconstitutional laws. He has earned the nickname Dr. No. He is often only one of a handful of Republicans voting no on an issue.
- No I think Ron Paul is just another right-winger, exactly in the George Bush mold --- not as smart as he thinks he is, and with a basic contempt of constitutional law. Ron Paul is a fraud, a fake populist with an agenda no better than any other radical politician who cannot adequately address the issues except with illusory concepts that are unworkable.
- Yes, I think so. Please God.
- Look at his track record in congress. Actions speak louder than words. so, Yes President Dr Ron Paul would keep his promises.
- I think it would be his INTENTION to keep his promises...but it's a whole different ball game when faced with actually managing to do it.
- Well, I hope he would but I have this idea that once any President Elect gets into the White House, the men in black take him into a special room and feed him some pudding, tell him the real deal about the one world order, and that is the last you see of any good intentions.
- I doubt President Bush deserves the blame you are putting on him for attitudes of the American people... Regardless, one person cannot change the world. We don't even teach a decent US Constitutional education in many schools, so how are we supposed to wake up one day and follow it as a people?
- Absolutely, Ron Paul is America's best hope! VOTE RON PAUL 2008!!!
- Where do you live where people are afraid to speak out against the Bush administration ? People do it every day. If Ron Paul is elected President I will donate my house and car to you.
- Its as simple as this Ron Paul has been a principled libertarian/constitutionalist for quite sometime, dating back to the 70s' I do believe. I think someone that has dedicated that many years to liberty, it would take some time for him to break that.
- Yes.. he will.. I was skeptic in the begining.. but Ron Paul has a proven track record... He is a man of his word........ there is a world of difference between Ron Paul and the other canidates.. Ron Paul is actually a man of integerity... thats why they call him dr no in congress, he abides by the constitution even if he is the sole voice in congress..
- He has done so while being a congressman. why would he change that as President? Ron Paul seems like the most qualified Candidate the Republicans are running, and probably would win my vote over all but one of the democrat candidates(not referring to Hillary), whereas all the other Republican candidates would lose my vote to any democrat. He isn't a religious fanatic, but moral. He is pro-Constitution and civil liberties. He is well educated in medical science. He has plenty of political experience but not corruption. He isn't a right-wing extremist nor a left wing radical. His voting record matches his claims. He isn't pro-big government or theocratic democracy. He reminds me of what conservatives used to be like before the 1969-1989 era. No wonder right-wingers hate him, and may cost him the nomination in favor of the other candidates' sensationalism. The right needs to realize, Ron Paul is their greatest chance at retaining the Presidential veto powers after next election.
- President elect? What day is this? Did I miss something while I slept?
- Yes, he will be. He has done everything that he said he would do in the past years of his bing in the house. I don't know what would change, except that people will be held accountable for their actions. He isn't a sell out.
- President "ELECT" Ron Paul? What happened to the election process? This man will never be elected President of The United States! He is a "WingNut" ! A Conservative Republican will be our next President!
- Ron Paul has ZERO chance of getting elected. As far as your other remarks they are unfounded. Which Civil Liberties are you referring? How many Feds have knocked on your door to ask you about something you said? I am guessing NONE!
- It is highly unlikely that Paul will win the Repub nomination, let alone the presidency. If he wins though, I believe that he will follow the constitution. Have you check out Duncan Hunter. He is a conservative an an opponent of open borders and illegal alien amnesty!
- well put he is what the rep party was years ago, After Bush I am ashamed to be affiliated with the Rep. party clinton was a disgrace and so is bush ill admit i voted for him but there was not really a choice when it came down to it, just two douche bags. Independent here
- Based on his lengthy record in Congress, I do believe that Ron Paul would do his honest best to stick to the Constitution as he understands it. News & Views for Anarchists & Activists: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/smygo
- No, I don't think he could manage a hot dog stand.
