Fred Thompson / Ron Paul 2008????
what do you think? If not then who?
Public Comments
- Mitt Romney
- Fred Thompson and Ron Paul disagree on the war, so I doubt it. I like Romney/Thompson in that order.
- Ron Paul? Are you joking??? That man is a goofball. Try Fred and Rudy.
- Fred Thompson. Paul is not a Conservative. He should run as an independent.
- I like it! a well balance duo, Ron Paul seems better fit to be second in command, Thompson seems more "Presidential" I don't see why the Republicans wouldn't nominate them given that Rudy is too liberal socially and they could slam dunk Hillary. I like Obama but I don't know. Maybe he should stay in the Senate a while.
- I will absolutely never vote for Ron Paul every again. So I'd have to vote Democratic for the first time in my life if the Republican ticket contained the name of Ron Paul anywhere!
- HAHAHA, I looked at this before putting on my glasses and wondered why Ru Paul was running for office. I sure like Fred Thompson, but need to hear more from Ron Paul.
- I was thinking Fred Thompson/ Guliani. It would take advantage of Guliani's popularity, without giving him any real power.
- God help us if that is who. Just about any of the other candidates, other than Kucinich.
- Thompson/Powell
- I find the lack of evidence condemning Ron Paul disturbing. If you have a problem with Dr. Paul why not have the gusto to atleast tell me why you don't like him, or his ideals? Is it because he is Dr. No? He won't conform, and you want a conformist as Commander and Chief not an idealist? I am very curious why Sally and a few others wish to talk to poorly of him, then not explain their reasoning. If questioned I'm sure that they'd either have some kind of extremist attitude about a certain topic and disagree with Dr. Paul on it, or better yet just say "I don't have to explain myself to you, I live in USA, hahaha." Typical apathetic, underinformed mentality... : ( Ron Paul isn't your typical canidate, and in these times you don't want another Bush cabinet that stands by and watches their country be destroyed without even attempting to stop it. Ron Paul does not blame the American people for the attacks on September 11th, 2001. He simply stated that policy which was instated much earlier in history through referandum and approval in Congress and Senate has affected our relations with other nations in the world. Keep in mind that many Trade Policies, Foreign Relations Policies and Monetary Policy are not voted upon by the American people. A commitee handles the actual policy idealogies and creating/alteration of existing policy. They are brought up in Congress to be voted upon by your elected reprentatives, that is then moved on to the Senate where it is finally decided upon whether or not it is sound. IN ADDITION In most cases the American people are totally unaware of changes to these policies as the Congressman and Senators of said states are not required by law to advertise and broadcast that laws, bills, referandums, and policies are being voted on "How should I vote?" Basically the American people are left out of the loop and put faith in their elected representatives to best represent their Statehood. This is where the line gets very dirty, and money trading starts showing it's dirty head. Usually the person who can pull the most strings, or the lobbists in Washington who have vast resources will fund an individual's campaign for an elected office if they agree to their policies/agenda. That is why I truly love Dr. Ron Paul, he does not accept donations from any of the Washington lobbies, and his campaign has been a grassroots movement primarily. He is an idealist, and does not conform just to win votes. Ron Paul would rather lose the nomination then to have not tried at all, he is a man of spiritual integrity that you do not see very often run for Presidency. I encourage everyone to research Ron Paul as much as possible...he isn't joking around. Do some research, stop being apathetic, and wake up to the world around you. You are part of it, start being a part of it.
- Fred yes Ron No
- RON PAUL is the honest and intelligent choice for those who want their country back.
- Close... Romney and Thompson... Not sure which of them should be president yet, though.
- I would rather see Ron Paul/ Fred Thompson. Thompson supported the McCain Feingold Act. He voted not to impeach Clinton and he is for the Iraq occupation. That's three strikes against him. However he was in the Hunt for Red October which is pretty cool.
