Is Ron Paul The Only Chance The Republican Party Has For 2008?
Face it, Republicans. The GOP has lost it's way during the Bush years, from it's illegal war in Iraq to the way it values the interests of corporations over the interests of the middle class. With Romney, Giuliani, McCain, and Thompson all backing the failure of Bush's ideology (who is very popular right now at 25% approval) Ron Paul is the only Republican candidate who would appeal to the overwhelming sentiment of the American people. My prediction: If Ron Paul isn't the Republican candidate for President, the Republicans will be obliterated in 2008 and beyond. Wake up! Bush has failed the Republican Party and failed America. The only people who don't seem to know this are a handful of Republicans who are out of touch with reality. Ron Paul 2008!

- Rudy Giuliani would be a better choice for the republican party in 2008.
- Ron Paul is a libertarian pretending to be a Republican because Libertarians get 2% of the vote. As a Republican Ron Paul will get 5% of the vote - big improvement for him. He is a loser. He blames America first and represents the radical right that thinks our War in Iraq is illegal - as stated in your point. That isn't Republican that is anti American histerical rhetoric and the Republicans will never nominate it....guess what - I'd vote for Hillary or even Edwards before I voted for Paul.
- I really like Ron Paul which is strange for me since I'm a democrat, although yeah, he's a libertarian. I really can't stand Hillary or Obama, they seem so fake. RON PAUL!!
- Well to start his approval rating is actually at 39% right now. And you know, Thompson and Guliani are pretty popular right now. As for your hopes of Ron Paul getting elected dream again. He is a nuts. He isn't a Republican, he is a DEmocrat trying to get elected to the Republican ticket, just listen to what he says. He blames us for 9/11 for heaven's sake.
- Yes, Ron Paul is their best hope, unless people want another warmonger who squanders a billion $ a week trespassing to steal OIL..
- Ron Paul is the only Republican with a functioning brain and heart Oh, and he has real blood too, not just corporate money pumping through his veins
- Dr. Paul does not have enough support behind him to win in 2008... Hopefully he when gain popularity in future years.. Thompson is going to get the knod.
- if any republican gets the job it would be giuliani. but we dont even have to worry about any republican going into power because democrats will win
- Rudy, Romney, Thompson, or any other would keep Bush policies. Meaning more spending more war. Ask Americans and you will find that is exactly what they don't want. The polls showed it. So if they want to win as a party and country, yes Ron Paul is the only alternative. If they want to be losers they can go with the other candidates. But hey don't believe me, believe the false sense of reality from FOX.
- You mean so that all 9% of America who supports him will vote for him? Please.
- if I didn't agree with him so much, I probably wouldn't like him ... but he is pro-life, I spose I can look past that cuz I don't think he will try to overturn roe vs. wade ... at least he understands the need for stem cell research but no question the republican party has lost its way, Bush is already being called our worst president ever, and he's not even out of office yet ... we have bigger government, less rights, more taxes ... ummm, isn't that the opposite of what a republican government is suppose to be?
- Just about any Republican at this rate would be better than any of the Democrats running for office, none of them want to tackle the illegal immigration problem which affects so many areas of our lives, overpopulated schools, drugs being brought in from Mexico, overpopulated jails, Welfare system, our health care, we have had numerous hospitals which have been forced to shut down due largely in part to giving illegals free health care. The number of people who have lost their jobs and businesses due to illegals taking their jobs. The Dem's just want to ignore the problem and keep the flow of illegals coming in at least the majority of the Republican party is aware of this.
- Yes and quite possibly for the entire nation. We need something new in the Presidency. And Ron Paul is different. He's not a guy that hangs his hat or his votes with the Washington Insiders. He would definitely shake things up. He thinks for himself and actually has a vision for this nation, which is more in-line with the principles this nation was founded on. In my opinion he is the only chance for this country...not just the Republicans.
- My prediction is that you're probably paid by Ron Paul's campaign to post this kind of stuff. I agree, Bush has failed the American people, but Republicans in general take America in the wrong direction. They want lower taxes when the US is the third LOWEST taxed country in the industrialized world. They want to "starve the beast" create smaller government so there's less regulation on big business. They want smaller government for the same reason criminals want fewer cops, because it's easier to get away with murder. Is this conspiratorial thinking? Perhaps, but why else would anyone want lower taxes? Just look at all they pay for us to have that we otherwise may not be able to afford on our own. If there were no taxes, how would our military be funded? Our police, firefighters, emts, district attorneys, schools and teachers, etc., etc., would all disappear. So why would anyone want this? Because the RICH can afford to send their kids to private schools, to hire lawyers, or people to protect them, etc. And then they could create private companies that sell their services such as fire fighting, police work, etc. "Why shouldn't the American people take half my money from me? I took all of it from them." Edward Albert Filene (1869-1937) Spoken like a true PATRIOT, Mr. Filene!
- Ron Paul is whacked out Libertarian with absolutely NO chance of being elected...if you had half a brain you'd already know that the only chance the Republicans (and its a slim one) is to nominated Fred Thompson
- Ron Paul is not only the only chance the Republicans have in 2008 but the only chance Americans have in 2008. Clinton, Obama, Edwards, McCain, Romney and Guiliani (the list is longer but you get the idea) are merely puppets for the owners of the Federal Reserve. It's the owners of the Federal Reserve who are guiding American political policy and if you fail to realize that you are either ignorant or naive. They've been doing that since 1914. In fact, they guide American social, foreign and economic policy to such a degree that they can swing elections for either of the two major parties. The only reason that independent and third party candidates stand no real chance is because the law and the media (both tools of the owners of the Federal Reserve) are set against them. Do you know John Cox? He's running for President. He's a Republican. He's raised more money than Jim Gilmore (before he dropped out) but Cox will never be invited to any of the debates. There are hundreds of people running for President but they will never be considered because many people fail to conduct their own investigation or think independently. They simply go along with whatever is presented before them - for the most part. Both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party are largely controlled by those who own the Federal Reserve. The owners of the Federal Reserve have even convinced most Americans (sheep) that they need to pay their income taxes or else the federal government will fall apart. Personally, I'd like to see Ron Paul vs. Mike Gravel. But barring Ron Paul being nominated by the Republicans I will vote either LIbertarian or Constitution Party although I am a Republican. The fact is that independent/third party candidates, or those with very little money, can win elections. This is unlikely to happen in 2008 and so some will attempt to argue that "we" are throwing our votes away. That's a load of BS intended to get those of us who are considering protesting the puppets parading as politicians who are only there to serve the owners of the Federal Reserve and not the 'we the people' to comply with their candidates be they Republican or Democrat. Here's how you can determine if a candidate is pro-Federal Reserve (as is a privately held corporate monopoly over US monetary policy): What legislation have they introduced, or voted on, opposing the Federal Reserve (status quo)? Do they take a position on this issue at all? If they fail to mention it you can rest assurd that they are pro-Fed. As is, the Republicans are likely to nominate a Fed candidate just as much as the Democrats are. That way, the owners of the Federal Reserve win no matter who you choose as a voter. They've been doing this since the 1912 Presidential election. What makes anyone think 2008 will be any different? Unless you take specific action to make a difference. If you vote Republican or Democrat you are likely voting (aside from Ron Paul for certain) for a Federal Reserve puppet. I can show you specifically how to win an election without money and without being part of either major party. The question is what will you do?
- Yes Ron Paul is their only chance. Giuliani gets the nomination....Dem's win win big.
- Ron WHO?
- Ron Paul has the chance of an ice cube in the Sahara on the hottest day of the year. He is NOT a Republican but a Libertarian. Ron Paul is one of those with LESS than 1% support overall.
- First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." ~ Mahatma Gandhi Right now, Ron seems to be in the "laughing" stage right now. The warmongers are besides themselves with the idea that the cause of war could be because of our meddling with their affairs, then same republicans get upset at illegal immigrants meddling in our affairs. Hypocrits. At least Paul is consistent: We won't meddle in your affairs if you don't meddle in ours. 47% of Ron Paul's contributions so far have been from donations under 200 dollars. Because he refuses to pander to huge corporate special interests, they see no reason to shower him with money. The person in second place is John McCain's 17%. He is the first candidate in a long time to run a grassroots campaign http://www.usaelectionpolls.com/2008/articles/ron-paul-small-donors-love-him.html Among military personell, Ron Paul is the first in donations. Apparently the warmongers love the war because it strokes their ego and makes for interesting television, but for the soldiers who are facing endless re-deployments in a lost war, war has a different face. http://phreadom.blogspot.com/2007/07/ron-paul-is-most-financially-military.html America are not a warmongering people. People are beginning to realize that they hate us because we are meddling with them. In fact, Republicans are the ones who forgot the era when Bill Clinton was showering the world with Democracy and THEY were the grumpy "isolationists". George W. specifically ran on a non-nation building platform, and boy how a lot changes in 8 years... Non-interventionism is the heart of true conservatism, and Ron Paul is the only candidate whose attention span is long enough to remember that.
