Ron Paul ?
Can someone give me an UNbiased answer on what he believes and what party he belongs to?
Public Comments
- Ron Paul is a Republican in the traditional sense. He is not a neo-conservative like most politicians in the current Republican party. This means that Ron Paul believes in having a small government strictly bound by the constitution. He is socially liberal and fiscally conservative. He opposes most taxes and believes that government should get out of a lot of things. He would like to abolish the IRS and immediately end the war in Iraq as well.
- Isn't it impossible to support a political party and, at the same time, be "unbiased"? I confess, however, that the man named above would never get my support!
- He really belongs to the libertarian party but publicly admitted that he couldn't get enough national attention that way. HE really wants to abolish the IRS, federal school board and bring all the troops home right away. After that I just stopped listening.
- He is a constitutionalist who believes in a limited federal government and maximum personal liberty, as well as responsibility. In this sense, he belongs in the Republican party, which has lagely been corrupted by big government fake conservatives of late. He could also be an extremely fiscally (and socially, as he is pro-life) conservative Democrat, and, of course, a Libertarian, on which ticket he ran for president in 88.
- go to his website. he can answer that the best for himself
- Ron Paul is a Republican - a very conservative Republican. You can read about his stance on issues here: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/issues/ You can compare him to other candidates here: http://www.yournextpresident.net/thefacts.php You can read Ron Paul articles here: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/articles/ There are many issues that separate the candidates. The things that are important to me and the things that Ron Paul represents: Pro Life of unborn children - abortion is not a means of birth control Pro 2nd Amendment right to bear arms to defend ourselves. Pro US Constitutional government - not allowing Congress to keep making up laws that destroy our Constitutional rights and overburden the taxpayers. Pro National Sovereignty - meaning no North American Union. US citizens like having the United States as a separate country from Mexico and Canada. Ron Paul says "The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. " Ron Paul is all about freedom, liberty and truth through our US Constitutional government. This is why so many people are so excited about Ron Paul. Ron Paul is unpretentious. He just tells the truth instead of covering it up like so many other candidates do to try and gain the popular vote of the day.
