Public Comments

  1. hes a republican but a weak conservative at best.
  2. hes no republican.............
  3. He's a Republican of convinience. He wanted to run for Mayor, but the Democrats wouldn't take him. Because of his strong crime stance, the Republican party took him as a opponent to then-mayor David Dinkins. Guiliani is a moderate Republican and defines himself as such. Both the Democrat and Republican parties has a wide spectrum of people in them with a wide variety of issues.
  4. The problem here is that everyone thinks Republican equates with right-wing fundamentalist. Now, no one has ever confused me for being a republican ( I prefer Yellow Dog Democrat) but I do know that there is such a thing as a moderate one. There once was a time when being a republican meant being fiscally conservative, not morally. Republicans USED to believe that small government was better, i.e. one that stayed out of the personal life of the citizenry. For the record, Bob Barr, former congressman from Georgia recently converted from the republican party to the libertarian party for similar reasons.
  5. Giuliani is an opportunist, he will jump whichever way the wind blows. He is the only person I know of that profited from the 9/11 tragedy, he has become a multimillionaire from his consulting and phoney security companies.
  6. Party affiliation is Republican. Acts much like a, well, not a Republican!
  7. A republican is a member of the republican party...so yes he's a republican. Party doesn't mean ideology. If you are asking if he's a conservative...then no. He's more of a libertarian.
  8. He is a Republican. He is a New York Republican meaning he is pro-choice, pro-gay rights, and pro-gun control. He is pro-death penalty and supports the war in Iraq. I know he is not your typical Republican but he is the one that could win in NY and Republicans like him because of 9/11 and his support for Bush. He is not a liberal but like the website classifies him as a moderate Libertarian.
