are you republicans really serious about Rudy Giuliani?
ok so mr. giuliani is becoming a serious candidate. i have one good question to all of you conservatives?? ARE YOU CRAZY?? how can a party that prides itself on good ole christian values and morality even consider someone that has been married 3 times and admittedly had an affair while still married to his second wife with the women that is now his third wife? isnt that the same immorality that you all nailed bill clinton to the wall for? isnt permiscuous sexual behavior one of the morality issues that you condemn homosexuality on? . and before all of you start ranting about me being a no good liberal with loose morals! FYI I HAVE BEEN MARRIED TO MY ONE AND ONLY WIFE OF 2O YEARS SO UNLESS YOU HAVE THE SAME STRONG FAMILY VALUES, JUST SHUT THE HELL UP!! THANK YOU!!

- he is allot better than hilldog he cleaned up new york i think he can take care of terrorist to
- I'm a Republican; however, I am NOT serious about the rude-dude.
- Because he has proven to be tough on crime, and looks to be as if someone who can be equally tough on our defense issues. And has a great record with NYC's budget, while still getting stuff done. Plus his handling of the 9/11 attack was masterful. Anyway, people make mistakes, forgiveness is another Christian value, plus I am a Christian but i see nothing wrong with divorce at all, why should you live a life with someone and be unhappy about it? Just my opinion, Giuliani in 08!!!
- The tactic is to attract liberals. Like liberals consider a crook a valid candidate.
- I'll vote for him, but I'll vote for anyone who is running against Hillary. Heck I might be willing to vote for George W. Bush. God, am I that desperate to make sure Hillary isn't President.
- Rudy Guillotine really dissed the NYC Fire Department on 9/11. Plus he got rid of all the WTC remains like real quick on 9/11 before a proper investigation could take place. Well, I guess he will be the neo-con's likely sucsessor to Bush.
- I am surprised, as an obvious dem, you are so down on Rudy. He is the closest thing to a liberal that's run on the republican ticket in years. As far as his morality goes...I guess after the Clinton fiasco, nothing phases me anymore. I can put up with just about anything. NOTHING could be worse than that. And as long as he stands his ground and can handle the US like he handled the 911 crisis, I am all for him. RUDY in '08!!
- First of all, why the hostility? You asked a question, in hopes of seeing the opinions of others. So, that being said, here is my opinion. Family values? Tell me that the Democrats protect family values when they are in support of abortion and are not in support of defending our nation! Moving on. Hilary Clinton WILL be the Democratic parties choice for the Presidential nomination. And, there are (in my opinion) only three Republicans strong enough to beat her. And, only one of them is running, Rudy Guiliani. The other two are Collin Powell and Condaleeza Rice. General Powell has said he will definately not run and Ms. Rice has never expressed the desire to run. Mr. Guiliani may not be a moral man. But he is a strong man. The things he did in New York city as mayor (before, during and after 9/11) are evidence that he can get the job done. And, finally, I do not think that Bill Clinton was a bad President because he was a womanizer. I think that he was a bad President because he was (and still is) a LIAR and a COWARD! Besides, he'd make a lousy FIRST GENTLEMAN!
- I wouldn't vote for this clown to be chief dog catcher. I mean the guy wants to be just like Bush so what does that tell you? He was a very average mayor and if not for 9/11 he would have faded into history by now. If this becomes President, America is screwed.
- "Clinton wasn't nailed to the wall" as you say for sex; that is what the spin misters have you believing; some people are sadly easily spun too. It was about lying to a judge for which he was properly disbarred and should have been jailed. But what better way to get some liberal votes then bring on a cross dressing, womanizing, left wing guy who is at least tough on crime, tough on terrorists and serious about using capitalism instead of socialism.
- I don't give a damn about Giuliani's family values. I care about his ability to be president of the USA and in my opinion he has it hands down. I just hope he will not make out in the oval office in the same manner as the number one womanizer, Bill Clinton.
- I don't give a damn what he does in his personal life. I'm not a Republican. I'm voting for Rudy. He's got Steve Forbes on his side. I don't EVER want ANY president telling me what MY family should or shouldn't be. When religious folks get divorced right and left, when they can't keep their own pants up - how DARE any of them condemn another human being. That's absurd!
- Married for 20 years? Does your wife know how you are answering and flirting with the female members here? If you look at head to head polls Gulliani holds a commanding lead against any and all democratic contenders! Funny you point out gulliani's discrepencies, but fail to mention Bill Clinton's failure as a good and faithfull husband! And how about John Kennedy? Selective critizism leaning to one side makes you an ignorant hypocrite! Have a nice day...:)
- Speaking of which Giuliani has so many skeletons in his closet that their is no way he should be considered for the president's office. Knowing that the last few years have left Americans seeking change Giuliani will just be more of the same thing. Just consider that Giuliani is a known adulterer something that the republican party has in the past found so reprehensible; in addition, his personal decisions can at the most favorable, be considered dubious. The latest finding against Giuliani is that he hired as commissioner of the country's largest police force Ben Kerik, even though he knew beforehand that the man had links to a company connected to organized crime. Adding to this is that until testimony he gave in the year 2000 was found he denied ever knowing that his police commissioner and friend had relations with this company. So, that being said do we really want a man of such poor judgment and low morals in our highest office
