Who is telling the truth concerning the recovery efforts of 9/11, NYC firefighters OR Rudy Giuliani?

1. I'm going with my union brothers on this one and not the scabby Republican politician!!!!!!!
2. I believe they may believe that and that to some extent it may be true, but I don't think they had the same grasp on the situation that Mayor Rudy had. It is a shame that they are so bitter about circumstances that were most likely out of Rudy's control. I am sure he didn't intentionally sit out to abandon anyone he was capable of saving, just as I am sure that if he had thought it reasonable to believe that others could have been saved without suffering the lost of more rescuers, he would have allowed it. Knowing what we know about the total devastation and core temperatures that existed at Ground Zero, I seriously doubt that he and his advisors were wrong about their prognosis.
3. Rudy's going to be exposed for the fraud that he is sooner rather than later. Running a campaign on fear mongering can only get him so far.

5. These people will Swiftboat him, you just wait. Just like the Vietnam people with Kerry, whether its true or not it will hurt him. It's the Karl Rove strategy, and its catching on. Attack their biggest strengths, but through surrogates, to keep your hands clean, appeal to their emotions, and eliminate the one big strength that distinguished them from their primary opponents, and turn it into a liability. For Kerry it was Vietnam, for Giuliani it is 9/11. You run for President you better expect to have your record trashed and your reputation and integrity compltely ripped apart. And you know why, its because Kerry and Giuliani had potential appeal with special interests that tend to vote the other way. Kerry potentially had appeal with traditionally Republican voting war veterans, the Republicans couldn't let that happen, so they got the Swiftboat people to completely trash him. The firefighters and the firefighters union, IAFF, who sponsors some of the ads, always goes Democratic, and if Giuliani starts putting up ads with pictures of him and firefighters on September 11 then they could lose some of the firefigher union voters, can't let that happen. They'll trash him just as bad as they trashed Kerry in 2004.
6. Giuliani is not credible when it comes to telling the truth. The firefighters called Giuliani up when he said he spent more time on ground zero as anyone else.
7. My son in law is a NYC firefighter and so was his father. I'm with them, Rudy is a huge fake. I also lived in NY and you know what, Rudy is still a fake. No one liked him, no one thought he could win again, he was immoral in his personal life to an extent that made normally blase NYers blush and to see him claim that he spent more time on the pile than those who actually did the work is frustrating and infuriating. Its not unions, and its not Democrats, its watching more lies being spread in total disregard of the truth and seeing people fall for it again. Rudy is scum.

9. The fact of the matter is most NYFD personnel like Mr. Giuliani. The union, which panders to Democrat politicians, are the voice most people BELIEVE reflects that of the fireman. Mr. Giuliani attended almost every NYFD/NYPD funeral and visited family members of those lost & injured. If you have the chance, ask one of those heros.
10. Being from a family of military and civilian firefighters, no matter how big a prick a firefighter is 'in the house'...when it comes to being on the fire/disaster scene, he is a brother in arms. When it comes to losing their own, I doubt seriously that the firefighters are lying about 'Wonder Rudy'.....If he spent as much time as he says he did at 'Ground Zero'...why isn't he even slightly ill, as you have firefighters and policemen who are suffering from exposure now in some really serious ways.

12. I believe the firefighters absolutely. They were in there on the front lines of recovering bodies and body parts for others' families. Giuliani just visted the outskirts and tried to take all the credit. He then stopped them from trying to find the bodies of their own members, instead having them scooped up and taken to the dump. Disgusting!
13. I never thought I would agree with anything 'Michael Moore' said but: NYFD union backs Dems only for the money. Most fireman will vote for Rudy...they know he genuinely cares for their well being, as do the police.
14. It's not just the NYC firefighters who know Giuliani has misrepresented his role in the firefighter-police communication debacle during 9/11 and a number of other matters as well. Most NYers know the real story. I have a friend in NY who doesn't like Hillary but hopes she and Giuliani will be the candidates just so she can expose him for the fraud he apparently really is.
