Still Like Rudy Giuliani?

Yesterday, the International Association of Firefighters held their Presidential Forum and Rudy "America's Mayor" Giuliani was MIA. President of the Association Harold Schaitberger appeared on Hardball last night and had some extremely harsh words for Rudy and his "egregious acts" against the FDNY in the days and weeks after 9/11. As if strong condemnation from the nation's largest firefighters union wasn't bad enough, Bernard Kerik, Rudy's NYPD Commissioner and Bush's first choice for DHS Secretary, rejected a plea deal on a litany of federal crimes including (but not limited to) tax evasion, mortgage fraud and conspiracy to commit illegal eavesdropping. As if all of that wasn't damaging enough, it turns out Giuliani's law firm is on the payroll of…wait for it…Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. 1. LOL.... Take it from me, a New Yorker. People outside of NYC only know Rudy's 9/11 traveling "America's Mayor" circus show. They have no idea what a nasty d-bag the guy really is. I pray he is the Republican candidate. Then it's "hammer time" with his past. On his 3rd wife for starters...........
  2. Giuliani is arrogant, bigoted, ill tempered and a womanizer. He divorced his 2nd wife, Donna Hanover, by announcing it at a press conference instead of telling her in person first. He was having an affair with an aide while living at Gracie Mansion & while still married and mayor of NYC while taking credit for all the good things that were done by others in “the city”. He fired William Bratton; the police commissioner in 1994 when he found out he made the cover of Time magazine because he (Giuliani) wanted to take the credit for the innovative crime fighting. I lived in NY during his dictatorship, and believe me, I would not want him as president. His character is far worse than Bush & Clinton's worse faults rolled into one, if you can believe that's possible. His name should be Mussoliani. As for 9/11…. he’s no hero, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. The real heroes of 9/11 were the NYC firefighters & police plus all the other forces from the surrounding tri-state areas who voluntarily came to pitch in & help us. 3. Besides all that, he likes to dress in drag. No man who doesn't get off on cross dressing, does it as often as Rudy has. You think Clinton was a laughingstock who disgraced the nation? Just wait till the comics start their parodies of Rudy.
  4. Politicians are like pigs wading in the mud, but for some reason, most of them can get away with it.
  5. I still don't like him.
  6. I never said that i liked him.He is too socially left for me.
  7. ok
  8. You forgot to mention that his first wife was also his first cousin once removed, barely escaping New York State's incest laws, but a prohibited degree of closeness under Catholic law. You forgot to mention that he brought his bimbo to the Mayor's mansion while his second wife and two kids were living there. You forgot to mention a judge issued a court order barring Mayor Giuliani from the Mayor's mansion because he felt bringing a bimbo in where a ten year old boy and six year old girl were living with their mother--his second wife--was improper. You forgot to mention how this enhances family values in the USA.
  9. Guiliani won't win it. Too much personal baggage will alienate "family values" conservatives. And the Chavez bit certainly won't help when the left wing attack machine revs up (should he win the nomination...I don't think he will though). Conservatives have a real dark horse candidate that should have us Dems (as I am) worried. Fred Thompson. A name to watch, he has a lot going for him.
  10. Oh, he's okay... but I never liked the idea of him as president. He's too weird... and c'mon he was just a mayor. Personally, I never entertained the idea of him for president.
  11. Rudy/Mitt in 08
  12. Beautiful isn't it; how Capitalism works? And Clinton's represented Tyson, Inc; one of the nations worst union busters and employers of illegal aliens. Unions are notoriously Democrat so of course they are going to bash Rudy. And what about innocent until proven guilty? Have you forgotten our basic tenant of the judicial system? It is SO like liberals to casta guilty judgement on someone of opposite beliefs. Yet when it comes to the illegal acts of your own you always, ALWAYS pass the buck. Remember Chappaquicdic? That was vehicular manslaughter.
  13. Yes, but not as president of the US - only as mayor of NY. I lived there when Dinky Licker was mayor and it sucked. Whores on 11th ave every night. Squeegee men at the exit for the LIncoln Tunnel. Pan handlers all over the streets who would spit and curse you out if you wouldn't give them a handout. Homeless people dead on the streets, frozen over subway vents. Rudy cleaned up the mess. But he's an apologist for the war and that's enough for me to vote against him for president.
  14. Well, I ALWAYS thought that Rudolf Giuliani was a racist, fascistic, police state oriented, corrupt son of a bitch. I remember when he was mayor of New York - he was our 104th mayor, and the worst of the lot! And, he let private contractors tear up the rubble at Ground Zero and sell it for scrap before a proper body search could be done, and before the collapse investigation was completed. Many of the bodies ended up buried in Fresh Kills Landfill, the NYC Dept of Sanitation's city garbage dump! And he arrested the firemen when they called a wildcat strike to protest the abandonment of the unburied bodies of their fallen brothers! Giuliani is scum - and he always was scum, even when he was the US Attorney here back in the 1980's. Now all of America knows what us New Yorkers have known about this bastard for the last 25 years! You also forgot to mention that a contractor called Interstate Industrial, with ties to the Gambino Crime Family, renovated Bernard Kerik's Bronx apartment - a $ 200,000 job that he didn't pay a cent for. In return, Kerik lobbied the New Jersey Casino Control Commission to let Interstate do work in Atlantic City casinos. Kerik was so close to Giuliani that he named the New York County jail after him! So, if Kerik is tied to the Gambinos, and Giuliani is buddies with Kerik....????? And you REALLY want this guy as your president??? "America's mayor" my ass!!!!
  15. of course we still like rudy.
  16. Rudy Giuliani's grandfather worked with Adolph Hitler.
  17. This is a real sticking point for me with Guiliani. Forget his sordid private life and his liberal social views (which I happen to agree with). When I started hearing about the firefighters' grievances toward Rudy, I did a little on line investigating. I found that not only the firefighters, but many NY police officers, and thousands in the NYC area aren't too fond of the 9/11 "hero" of their city. I'm supporting Hillary Clinton for President, but I wasn't too opposed to Rudy until I started doing some checking. God help him if he ends up in a campaign debate with Hillary. She's got old scandals never proven, he's got scandals that stand up to any scrutiny you give them.
  18. BS His a better person for the job than anyone else running at this point in time.
  19. The firefighters make a strong case. Giuliani isn't perfect nor do I intended to vote for him before. But I agree with some of his views and I know he had problems as Mayor and unions don't like him. But what bothers me is why do politicians suck up to unions? Even the Republicans, this was a meeting of the AFL-CIO. Talk about pandering. Not a lot of people like Giuliani and I don't believe the last thing you said.
  20. Just because a firefighter's union doesn't like Rudy Giuliani makes no difference to me. Most unions consist of liberal socialists. Just because Bernard Kerik was a crook still does not make any difference to me. Also, Rudy Giuliani's law firm was never on the payroll of Hugo Chavez. The law firm was on the payroll of Citgo oil. Hugo Chavez does not own Citgo oil. Giuliani will win in 2008 because no one wants to see the Clintons again.
