Guilani broke up with his wife at a press conference and praised his mistress, what do u think?

Why would you trust a man that did this? This is an article from some years ago: Mr. Giuliani all but conceded that he was having an affair with Judith Nathan, a woman he has been squiring about town and whom he calls his “very good friend.” Then, on May 10, Mr. Giuliani announced at a press conference that he was seeking a separation from his wife, Donna Hanover—without first informing her of his decision. Mr. Giuliani went out of his way to praise his mistress as a “very, very fine woman,” and said about his marriage with Ms. Hanover: “Over the course of some period of time in many ways, we’ve grown to live independent and separate lives.” The mayor’s assertion was contradicted three hours later by his emotionally distraught wife, who said, “I had hoped that we could keep this marriage together. For several years, it was difficult to participate in Rudy’s public life because of his relationship with one staff member.” Ms. Hanover was because of his relationship with one staff member.” Ms. Hanover was referring to Cristyne Lategano-Nicholas, the mayor’s former communications director. The mayor and Ms. Lategano-Nicholas denied those allegations in the past, and continue to deny them now. Even if Ms. Hanover’s account is not fully accurate, we know that Mr. Giuliani, the married father of two children, ages 14 and 10, is engaged in a very public, intimate relationship with another woman. This is troubling in itself. And if Ms. Hanover’s account is to be believed, we have a situation in which the mayor had an adulterous relationship with a staff member, lied about it, agreed to his wife’s efforts at reconciliation, only to leave her for yet another woman. This would be more serious still. Regardless of whose account you believe, Mr. Giuliani has publicly humiliated his wife, grievously hurt his children and behaved dishonorably. Republicans are conservative, how does rudy and his mistresses fit in? Sounds like he should join bills party. he said NYC needed him and wanted to be mayor some extra months. He was also thinking about overruling a law and be mayor for 4 more years.

  1. As long as they keep their private and political life separate, I have no problem. That being said, that story is disturbing. Unfortunately, it's rather common among men. I'm surprised he didn't tell his wife first -- that was perhaps lower than the affair. Edit: I don't say shame on you. I think you're asking legitimate questions. Keep them coming.
  2. Shame on you. It's got nothing to do with his ability to run a country.
  3. That he is a callous idiot. His wife is better off without him.
  4. Ulgghh. He's a loser! obviously....
  5. oo i somewhat remember this um well really none of us know all that happend maybe he was trying to keep bad things out that his ex did. but it was very very bad form for him to make it public like he did. i wont vote for him steven colbert 2008woot
  6. i don't like him for his policy's but some times you got to do what you got to do but from your posts i assume you are a Dem how do you feel about Hillary making staff members and generals duck into bathrooms and closets because she didn't want to see anyone as she walked the hallways of the white house. that's much worse, and shows she thinks she is so much better that she shouldn't have to demean herself by looking at people doing the business of government.
  7. I think that although I find some aspects of him to be admirable I would not vote for him base on some of his views I find to be too liberal. That does not mean I hate him or I give any weight to that National Enquirer crap that you give so much credence to. I thought it was decided; by liberals, during the Clinton Administration, that sort of thing does not matter.
  8. And how many phone calls did YOU make to your elected officials demanding Bill Clinton be tossed out of office for cheating on Shrillary ?
  9. What about that ant he steeped on when he was 5 years old??? Is that the best you can do ? If you feel the need to find corrupt politicians just look at the Democrat Party every one of them ! Starting with Ted Kennedy who commited murder and still holds office!
  10. I think Hillary supporters are the last ones who should be questioning another's morality.
  11. men suck
  12. You again. Why do you use conservative tactics? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071021003125AAR8S5S
  13. Conservatives say that the best way to predict what a politician will do in office is to look at their character and their values. If they are to be consistent at all, they will have to reject Guiliani. Libertarians and civil liberties lovers should reject Giuliani because of his attempt to delay the January 2002 elections in NY or suspend the inauguration of the new mayor until April 2002. The legal basis he relied on was his opinion that he was the best man to handle the emergency of 9-11.
  14. I think Mr. Guilani liked his "mistress" more than he did his wife. Franklin Delano Roosevelt "liked" Missy Lehand for over 20 years; yet remained married to Eleanor. His admiration for Ms. Lehand did not deter his devotion to the United States. John F. Kennedy was involved with many women; yet his loyalty to the United States is rarely questioned. School superintendents, principals, and teachers, who have been married for years leave their wives/husbands for another. Does that deem them less effective in their jobs? Supreme Court judges, district judges, and local attorneys also "forsake" their first, second, and even third and fourth spouse for another. Does that fact indicate these people no longer uphold the judicial system? "Trust" is having confidence in someone. Presently, it is very difficult for Americans to "trust" anyone: I don't; but someone is going to be a President, a governor, a senator, a representative, a judge, a school teacher, a day-care provider, a school-bus driver, etc., etc.,. These people may be the ones who rape and abuse your child, the ones who abscond with millions of dollars of public money. High school test scores reveal the "supposed" knowledge and IQ of a student; but, what test do we have for integrity?
  15. Brilliant strategic move. If one has skeletons in their closet the might endanger their political career. That might be the gossip of the city for months to come. Come out and admit to it.
  16. If true it seems a pretty low act - maybe thats one reason the Religious Right hate him as much as they hate Hillary.
  17. Well now I feel sick,,,that Giuliani makes me sick,,I did not know that about the man,,but I'm not surprised he is a piece of work, think of a 4 letter word and inserted into his name.I do not see what true old school republicans see in this person....I tell you what if it comes down to voting for this man or Hillary Clinton,,,,I'm going insane,,,lol,,,chow freepress
