I can live with that because I too is as conservative as the day is long, but I don't embrace the social programs of the conservatives. i sure the hell don't embrace the liberal causes of the democrats either, but I can tolerate a guy who doesn't think the same as me on every issue, as long as the important issues are covered. The democrats have not confronted those issues, because they believe it is political suicide to say that diplomacy can't get the job done, or, I plan on leaving the troops where they are, until this war is properly resolved. A republican can say that, because it may be necessary to do just that, or suffer world condemnation for running home and leaving the middle east for Iran to decide it's fate!
