Public Comments
- He is the only republican I would consider.
- pro - did a good job adter 9-11 con - a Republican we do not need any Republicans for the foreseeable future and a long time after that
- I think he would be perfect for the job! The Dems AND the Reps dont really like him so he must be doing something right! Plus he showed he is a true leader during a time of crisis and that he works well under pressure, neither party has shown me a candidate with near that kind of strength!
- I have new found respect for Rudy after he stood up for Clinton after the Fox interview. However I think he's got to much baggage to get the republican nomination. His recent divorce was very messy and he would never take New York in the general election.
- I don't know if it would be possible for a pro-choice Republican to win a national office.
- I was just talking about him with some friends, yesterday! I think he would do great for the Republican party.
- I don't think he has a chance to get the nomination, he is to far left for the christian south and would allow democrats to make strides there. I don't think that the repuglicans like him as much as the democrats do. I personally wouldn't want to see it because he is still a repuglican and I have lost all respect for them.
- Yeah....Ol Rudy does have the "Republican Moral Values" eh! Giuliani's first marriage was to his second cousin, Regina Peruggi. They were married for 14 years, before Giuliani had their marriage annulled by the Catholic church. His second marriage was to Donna Hanover, a reporter and sometimes soap-opera actress. Havover was the city's First Lady while Giuliani was mayor, but she stayed farther and farther out of the public spotlight as Giuliani was widely whispered to be swiving his press secretary, Cristyne Lategano. After Lategano left City Hall, Giuliani took up with a divorced nurse, Judith Nathan. Never one for subtlety, Giuliani and Nathan marched side-by-side in the St. Patrick's Day parade, where the city's mayor traditionally walks with his wife. *********************************** Furthermore, his second divorce from Donna Hanover was extremely ugly. Hanover accused Rudy of "open and notorious adultery." She also claimed Rudy had an affair with a staffer, Christyne Lategano-Nicholas, which both Giuliani and Lategano-Nicholas denied. However, Rudy has acknowledged that he started seeing his current wife, Judith Nathan, before his divorce from Hanover was finalized in 2002. Given how recent this divorce was, Rudy's adultery, and the fact that he married, "the other woman," the press can be expected to cover Rudy's marriage to Hanover exhaustively if he gets the nomination and needless to say, Rudy, quite deservedly, will not come off very well. Yup.... He does have the Repugliscum Standards Of Moral Values Alright!
- He might make a good president , but he is carrying to much baggage . The Religious Right will never go for him and he's made to many enemy's along the way . Most people outside of the East coast don't know him that well .
- I like Giuliani if he runs and the democrats don't have anybody good I might vote for him. The thing is that he might not get the nomination because he is pro-choice and pro-gun control which would set off really badly with conservatives republicans. Besides, he is from new york which many conservatives think is the modern gomorrah and he cheated on his wife and got divorced. These could affect his candidacy if he runs so I find it difficult that the republicans could nominated him.
