has there ever been a BIG state so unanimously behind a candidate the way NJ supports Rudy Giuliani?
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/nj/new_jersey_republican_primary-245.html Will the GOP Nomination be over, once the delegates for NJ and CA are handed over to Rudy? Rudy Giuliani never held office in NJ. And Dukakis never had a 38 point lead in a field of 5 candidates...and NEITHER will Hillary.

- that's fine by me great point
- that's a good point..when the vote was so splintered between so many different candidates yesterday in both parties it just goes to show that making sweeping judgments over a corn producing state..is more of the generalization thing that goes on with every issue here
- Maybe. What it does say is that Romney is done. Which is good, since I prefer actual humans in the Oval, as opposed to very tall reptiles.
- The nom for the GOP will go to either Rudy or McCain I have said that since day 1. Iowa is meaningless. Most that win there do not become President
- Happens all the time. What do you think Dukakis got in Massachusetts? What do you think Clinton will get in NY?
- That poll is a month old, an eternity in this race. It also doesn't take into account Huckabee's last minute come back or the boost he will get from any wins between now and Feb 5th. Even if Rudy gets the nomination, the democratic candidate has won in the past 4 elections.
- Giuliani has enjoyed a commanding lead in nearly every public poll conducted in the delegate rich states of Florida, California, Illinois, New York and New Jersey. He will go fluid, and Las Vegas books continue to say it will be Rudy and Hillary when it comes down to the wire. I don't know...Clinton might regroup, but she's looking pretty desperate right now. Knowing that Iowa does not respond to negative campaiging, she has held back on Obama. But that will probably change very quickly. The daggers will come out. Interesting link with good editorials... thanks!
