Is Rudy Giuliani the best presidential candidate that we have for 2008?
Public Comments
- Him and McCain would make a tough team to beat
- Who are "we"? I am not part of the "we" you are referring to. And NO! Giuliani is not the best of anything.
- Yes he is! Integrity and the intelligence to know our enemy!
- Yes
- He's unelectable. You may have noticed that the republicans took a beating last week in the elections. But, the story you won't read about in any newspaper is why. Over 20% of people who describe themselves as conservative, decided to punish the republicans by voting democrat this election....according to a poll taken right after the elections. Had those 20% voted the way they traditionally do, the results of the elections would have been completely different. The important thing to understand here is conservatives....the vast majority of the republican base will not vote republican anymore because the party refuses to support their positions on the issues. Giuliani is a good guy and, quite frankly a hero, for his actions in our city during 911. However, he is simply on the wrong side of too many issues. Conservatives simply will not vote for another "moderate" republican because we feel he will simply sell us out to the liberals again. In other words, the next republican candidate MUST be a strong conservative or he won't be elected. I'm not saying I agree with it because I don't. I think that the conservatives who did this acted very irresponsibly and are now going to have to live with all the insane things a liberally controlled congress has planned (and that Pelosi witch has BIG plans I tell you). It is what is, however. The republicans had years of warning and they ignored it. And they are ignoring it now. Get ready for Clinton part 2. God help us all.
- Well Giuliani was not at all liked by New Yorkers before 911. Please don't fall for the hype and do some research about these "hero" candidates. A good speech does not a good leader make. Haven't we had enough of hype? Isn't time for substance?
- i'd like to him as VP on a McCain ticket, that is my dream ticket, maybe a little too moderate for the Hardcore conservatives.
- no...
- HELL NO!!!!!!!!!! I personally think that the best candidate would be hillary clinton
- Yes!
- You mean the same guy the African american community was up in arms about? Or the guy who dumped his wife for his girlfriend? Or the guy who threw his wife out of Gracie Mansion and installed his girlfriend? The divorced Catholic? Or the one who never told the Trade Center workers that they were breathing death? How are you going to spin out of those problems?
- A good candidate, but not sure if he's the best candidate.
- He's too liberal to ever get the Republican nomination.
- He's a hell of a lot better than Bush was in 2000.
- No.
- Absolutely! Giuliani has proven his leadership skills during his mayorship of New York City, especially during 9-11 and post 9-11.
- probably best candidates from now, gop seems to got their strong card Giuliani and Mccain but yet wait to see for Dem for their selection hope is not John Kenney again.
