Rudy Giuliani vs Hillary Clinton in 2008: Who wins New York and California?
I think Giuliani could win New York just because of his popularity there and California too with the help of some endorsements from the governator? What do you think? chainsaw - The question wasn't about the primaries was it? This is a hypothetical question, you know, a "what if" question. A D - He didn't lose to Hillary. He withdrew before the election because he had prostate cancer. sleepy - I think NY and Cali do matter. Together they are 86 electoral votes and if you want to add Texas in there too it'll be 120 votes.
Public Comments
- Guiliani never makes it out of a primary. He is way off the charts on liberal social issues.
- Rudy lost long time ago, Hillary Gots his job now
- I think you're wrong. What exactly did he do to win his popularity? just because he was in the limelight in 9/11 doesn't mean he's a hero. He was just in the right place at the right time. Before 9/11, people in New York were getting fed up with him. Nobody else in the U.S even knew who he was. then comes 9/11 an he was made into this whole national hero figure. Its absurd!
- rudy in new york. hillary in cal. governator wouldn't help rudy that much.
- Hillary will most likely take both.
- NY and California dont really matter.
- nobody wins, everybody loses.
- The News Media and the Rich & Powerful here, and around the world, have already decided that Hillary will be the next president. It's a done deal.
- That would be a tough call, particularly for NY. IMHO, CA would go Dem pretty much whoever ran -- advantage Hillary. NY would be a very tough call as both Hillary and Rudy are well respected in the state. Prior to Rudy's withdrawl from the Senate race, Hillary was slightly ahead in the polls but as we all know, polls don't always predict the final outcome. I'm much more interested in seeing if Hillary even makes it through the primaries now that Barak Obama in seen as such a rising star in the Democratic party. Unless he does something incredibly stupid (he's young) it's going to be tough for the Clinton campaign machine to depose him without coming across as racist.
- I say Rudy vs Obama...
