Is Rudy Giuliani an Evangelical Christian? Pat Robertson has endorsed him! Are their religious views the same?

I was really surprised to see that such a right wing, evangelical Christian conservative has endorsed Rudy Giuliani. Are the politics and religion of these two men similar?

Rudy originally went with the whole free-thinker routine because if he had played Robertsons tune he would never have gotten to Mayor. Robertson has played the Evangelical Grift to the hilt because the folks he was targeting did not have the subtlety to see him for the glad hand con man he is, or that he was using money donated by innocents to run slave mines in Africa. Jimmy Breslin pegged Rudy perfectly when he called him a small man in search of a balcony, Robertson had already made a play for that balcony and lost, perhaps he thinks he can become Rudy's Cheney, and lead the Domionist Inquisition for him.

13. No, they are not the same. Rudy Guiliani is a Roman Catholic. The official church stance is strongly pro-life but Guiliani has been open about his pro-choice stand. He would be categorized as a moderate Republican. I would not be surprised to see Rudy have a 'change of heart' to woo the conservatives. Pat Robertson is a evangelical (a protestant who strives to spread his beliefs) and is very strongly pro-life. Many evangelicals are very surprised and disillusioned by this endorsement. He would be considered a very conservative Republican. He strongly supports Israel and has a spin off ministry called American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which offers legal support to anyone being persecuted for their christian faith in the U.S.. I would consider them the anti-ACLU.
14. Pat Robertson doesn't represent my ethics in government and now based on his endorsement doesn't represent my religous beliefs either. Pat Robertson just sold out the religous right who have been mailing donations to his billion dollar empire for years. He fits right in with the idiology that money and power trumps ethics. Guiliani is a sneaky snake who slithered through his career and damaged a lot of innocent people along the way. I am not giving him the chance to do that to America.
