Have you contributed money to a 2008 presidential candidate? Who and why?

I contributed to Joe Biden's presidential run today. This was my first time to contribute to a candidates campaign. Why Biden, you ask? Well, as the top dems have shown a lack of spine and vision regarding Iraq, the momementum of the big 3 (and the Dems in general) has been stalling out. Biden, has shown both spine and swagger and is beginning to spike at the right time. He has gotten up to 8%* and prognosticators are predicting a suprise 3rd place or higher finish in Iowa. I contributed to buy him an ad in Iowa, and if he does well, I'll probably contribute for ads in additional states. (*I know 8% seems small but momentum is everything. On the republican side Huckabee went from 12% to 25% in a month. 8% with a soft top 3 is enough that he could have a suprise finish in 2nd or 3rd place in Iowa, which would make him "Edwards/Obama relevant" in later states.) I knew nothing about Biden in '07. I have been impressed by his foreign policy. joebiden.com/issues/?id=0009

  1. No I have not and will not do so in the future. The best way to help any candidate is to get out and vote. I believe that the amount of money given The money collected politicians is obscene. I do donate to legitimate charities. also the money they have left over from their campaigns is often a great deal of money.,and they keep it.
  2. I have contributed numerous times to Ron Paul's campaign. Why? Because he is the last of a rare breed. He is the only one on OUR side, the only one willing to speak the truth about our government, among other things. He is the champion of the constitution - fighting for freedom to be restored to America.
  3. I plan to donate on sunday the 16th
  4. Not a dime. I even check the no box on my tax return. I shouldn't have to pay for their campaigns.
