Can Joe Biden climb out of the cellar?

This article from USA today reminds us that low poll numbers mean nothing so early in the campaign. "George McGovern, Jimmy Carter, Michael Dukakis and Bill Clinton were national unknowns before winning the Democratic presidential nominations in, respectively, 1972, 1976, 1988 and 1992. Carter and Clinton went from faint blips in the early polls to the White House." http://www.usatoday.com/news/politics/2007-06-05-2272179833_x.htm

Public Comments

  1. Mr. Biden has been around for a long time. He is where he belongs.
  2. no. He takes the terrorist threat too seriously. He would never be accepted by the kooks running the Democrat party... Which is rather sad considering how nuts Biden is. He should fit right in.
  3. Although I do not agree with him on much he should be doing very well in that he is definitely the superior candidate at the debates (for the Dem's). Hillary/Obama seems to have quite a lock with the Dems. While I wouldn't vote for him, he would be a good candidate for the Dems and perhaps a good VP choice for Hillary.
  4. Why? He's fine in his cellar.
