If people state Clinton will lose to a Republican if nominated, can Joe Biden win it for Democrats in 2008?

I do believe Clinton will lose if she nominated, and no I don't believe anybody can beat a Republican in 2008. Everybody thought Kerry was going to beat Bush by landslide in 2004 and look what happened...and Richardson has no chance, he looks like he's ready to fall sleep at the podium. The first two have not been floowing 2008 very closely, I can tell these are both knee jerk reactions. "following"

  1. Hell, no!!!! OMG, I'm going to have nightmares now.
  2. Nah, Biden lost it on Day 1 when he said Obama was a good orator...or something to that extent.
  3. No on Joe.
  4. I'm sure you will get a lot of disagreement with this. I don't think Hilary will get the Democratic nomination because the party does not look to her as their best choice, even though she is leading in the polls. I really think they want Obama and if he gets it I think he would win. The only republican who would stand a chance is Rudy G. and considering how it seems that everyone hates Republicans I doubt he will win.
  5. Well lets face it if there is anything Democrats truly excel at is blowing elections. Bill Clinton could still beat any of them in an election but his time has passed.Hillary is only loved by the left. If Democrats want the White House they better find someone more appealing to independents. To me Hillary is just a liberal female version of Cheney they both give me that star wars emperor vibe when i see them.
  6. Yea Republican.
  7. In this day when image (real or manufactured) is EVERYTHING, Joe Biden doesn't have a chance anymore, unless he gets a hair weave or a really good toupee.
  8. I don't happen to agree with you that Clinton couldn't beat any Republican. "Everybody thought that Kerry was going to beat Bush" is simply *NOT* true - maybe your friends thought that, but I guess mine were more cynical. Much of the 2004 election was bought and sold by the K-street gang and certainly the Swift-boat Veterens were friends with Karl Rove and their timing is highly suspicious. I agree with you that the Republicans are certainly not down for the count *NOR SHOULD THEY BE* - but people need to stop voting for who they LIKE and start voting for who they think can lead and do the right thing. If they happen to agree with Republican principles (vs "Gee I think I trust him cause I can imagine him and me going to a bar together), then they should vote Republican. Bush and Reagan were both likeable and both were with the hind sight of history, terrible presidents. Reagan at least could sell snow to an eskimo (people are still bamboozled by his charm) - but he was both economically and geopolitically irresponsible as they get. And George topped him. Thing is ... they didn't win arguments with logic or facts. They won it by making people feel good about themselves. Indeed, waiving the flag is a great way of making people feel good about themselves and motivating them to do whatever you want ... good or evil. Waive the flag, scream boo and write your own ticket. I think it would all behoove us to remember that laughing at the class clown is all well and good, but did he have the right answers when the teacher called on him? George Washington was extremely stand-offish - and is almost always listed in the top 3 Presidents. I think either Clinton or Obama COULD win the Presidency if A) they don't blow it and B) they convince people to really take stock in what they want in a President instead of just going with gut feelings. George Bush was the "Gut feeling" president. Maybe we have that out of our system now.
  9. anyone will beat a republican this time.. so pick the best and vote Hillary.
