Joe Biden,the "bridge" candidate?

As a Republican,I'm a little perplexed by my thoughts concerning Sen.Biden;I actually agree with his stance on some major issues.Anyone else think he has a chance of gaining the votes of other Republicans? Just for the record: Hillary:devisive and un-electable Obama:too green(not enough experience) Edwards:classic Democratic nutcase Richardson:doesn't seem to have a "backbone" Kusenich:If I can't spell his name,he's convinced me of nothing Dodd:Who? Elway the cat, Time will tell about Hillary.Funny, she seems to make an effort to distance herself from her obvious past:" Hillary" instead of Mrs.Clinton,or even Senator Clinton. Think 1st, Interesting perspective;thanks.

  1. Joe Biden would be the best American (not Democratic or Republican) President of the past 40 years!
  2. Not keen on Biden, but agree he's the best of that motley crew. PS-- as a Republican, no I won't vote for him.
  3. Absolutely...if you mean the bridge to nowhere!
  4. Joe Biden really impressed my last night. Especially when he said he told Mr. Bush that he would move for impeachment if he took military action against Iran without congressional approval.
  5. He is the most centrist from my understanding of their group.
  6. not really he is more direct, plain spoken than the rest but he really is still a lib,he had blue collar roots and I think he knows whats its like to be poor, but hes been a senator for like decades so he gotten out of touch with whats outside the beltway, I think George Sorros owns him too.
  7. He could be a bridge candidate I suppose, but how is that going to happen? He hasn't moved far enough up in the polls to even be a threat in the primaries. Unless you are going to vote Democratic instead of Republican in the primaries the chance to vote for Biden will pass you by. He will not receive the nomination. It's funny to me how Republicans keep repeating that Hillary is divisive and unelectable. The numbers say differently about being unelectable and as far as being divisive the Republicans have divided this entire country. Any Republican candidate will be just as "divisive" as she is simply by virtue of being a Republican.
  8. I agree, he is also the best candidate if you include the Republicans that are running. I have registered as a Dem in case he hangs on for the primary in my state. I doubt this will happen, but one never knows. He could be capable of getting some of The moderate Republican votes, not many because of the extreme partisanship fostered during the last two administrations. I do disagree with part of your assessment, Hillary is too electable, unfortunately I think nobody has a chance against her. She had new armor on last night that deflected remarks back at her attackers, and they looked confused.
  9. I think his Iraq policy makes the most sense. With so many Iraqis having homicidal intolerance of different points of view, why not let them have geographical havens for their different belief systems. They need the peace that comes with law and order prevailing. And we need to be free of policing this nut case nation.
