Isnt comparing Joe Biden to Don Imus just a partisan rant?

Don Imus is a radio personality that made a crude joke some people overreacted to. Joe Biden is a Democrat that Republicans would NEVER question how he words his compliments if he were one of their own. Why the wide stretch to compare the two, unless it is a partisan attempt to justify intellectual dishonesty? Moltar?...

Public Comments

  1. If there was a Republican as dumb as Joe Biden, you best believe I'd question him.
  2. Yes, Jim, you're right. It's perfectly fine for an elected Democrat to be a racist POS.
  3. you're going to sprain something in your weak attempt to defend Biden. the man should be in prison but I'd settle fro out of Office
  4. i didn't realize imus was a conservative nor that people were defending thier parties over this matter. shows the link between street reality and politics is just as nonexistant as ever.
  5. Oh, Jim, Jim, Jim. You're sorely missing the point. I'd take issue with Biden regardless of party. The point is, we have screams for the firing of a radio personality, who wields ZERO political influence. Yet, a long term Senator, who has clear bigotry issues, whether they be malicious or just inane, gets a pass. Doesn't that strike you as barking up the wrong tree?
  6. No-their both pretty pathetic.(and I'm a DEM.)
  7. Both are flaming liberals/socialists/"fellow travelers"!
  8. Well just like O'Donnell, they were hired to be outragous jerks, and if you like that sort of thing you listen to it, I don't, so I don't listen to it. I dislike the idea that some people can say words that other people can't, that's discrimination right there. If Imus can't use those words, neither should anyone else, like rappers. But then I don't like rappers, so I don't listen to them. I don't demand they all be fired because I'm told they've said hateful things I wouldn't like. I think people should express themselves, what they think, and the rest of us, if we don't like it, should ignore them, it's called "being a responsible adult", whatever happened to that? Yes there are a lot of "off the cuff" remarks by politicians that differ from the image they present in public, that's why those who know are going to be voting for Obama instead of Clinton, because Clinton has been overheard too many times for anyone to believe her anymore.
  9. It's not even a political rant. What these apologists for Inus are doing is to try to distract people from the real issue by pretending Inus' comments and Biden's goof are equivalent. But--aside from the openly dergatory nature of what Inus said--the truth is that this is not an isolated incident. Inus has a history of this kind of racism--and has promised to stop in the past and broken his word. The people defending him aren't even your garden-variety neocon. They are racists themselves. And note the pattern--identical to what immature bulliesdo on a playground--they say or do something to hurt others. Then when confronted whine "it was just a joke!" Well, the kind of remark Inus made is not a joke--is not funny--and he should not be allowed to get away with thelie that "he was just joking."
  10. Joe Biden was wrong but it was no where near the kind of remarks of Don Imus. Don Imus was disgusting. I think this video pretty much proves what an azz Don Imus really is for calling these women who have integrity and work very hard at school and on the court '.........whores'. http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=207187&cl=2343062&ch=207399&src=sports
  11. If a republican had said what Joe Biden said the democrats, Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would have demanded his resignation. Don't be so sensitve.
  12. Leave it to a liberal to compare the dumbest man in the senate to a washed up "shock jock"
