Does John McCain still have a chance?
He's starting to build up his campaign funds again. He's getting more press. He's making sense on the issues. His campaign did take a tumble, but he appears to be holing his own at the moment. Thompson is in, and the race is still wide open. I predict that we'll see a few of the frontrunners fall by Christmas, but McCain will still be in the game. From there he could jump right back into the top slot. We shoudn't count this guy out. He's a war hero and a former POW. He's never been anything but honest in public life - even to his own determent! Can those things be said about any of the other GOP candidates?
Public Comments
- No
- I think he does...he impressed a lot of people with the FOX debate and you know what, good for him. I think he and Hucabee are the only leaders who have a sense of reality.
- he was spanked by Bush in the primary when he tried to run against him...lots of lies and he took it....he didn;t fight back,,,,,,,,,,he was an honorable guy.....I think we need a tough and mean guy for pres.............
- McCain cosponsored the McCain Feingold bill that stifles free speech..I hope he has no chance
- Yes especially if Rudy keeps talking about how he did this or that in NYC eventually voters are going to see through his bull. Plus he is the most consistent of the front runners.
- I don't think so, only because he is one of the few candidates that supports the War in Iraq, which is very unpopular right now. That will not sit well in the eyes of a lot of voters.
- Anyone has a chance. His chances happen to involve the senario of a snowball being placed in a rather hot climate. . .
- McCain is Bush lite--whom believes in bombing countries out of existence, rather than holding talks with them. (He did a horrible Beach Boys rendition of one of their songs; singing: "Bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, Iran.") I don't care WHAT he was in the past, none of these Republicans represent America or their best interests. I wouldn't trust any of them to babysit my animals for a week--let alone hold the highest office in the land.
- Not even maybe..... McCain is Bush-Lite, nothing more to offer than more of the same. Once again, old men sending young men off to war.
