Why Does John McCain Hate America?
He doesn't want Americans to express their opinions to Congress. He is going against the Constitution of this country and against the Pledge of Allegiance ("to the REPUBLIC for which it stands"). He is basically against America. He doesn't like the fact that the United States of America is a constitution-based federal REPUBLIC. This week McCain used the phrase "extracurricular politics" when he basically said he doesn't want Americans to start voicing their opinions. McCain should immediately take back what he said or he should resign. McCain said: "We all know that this issue can be caught up in "extracurricular politics" unless we move forward as quickly as possible." From the "Pledge of Allegiance": "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands" McCain must also hate the fact that this country has both a Senate and a House of Representatives. Constitutional framers knew the importance of public opinion Sorry Wolfgang, but you know as well I do that Constitutional Framers valued public opinion. Framer James Madison deeply valued public opinion, not just for the formation of our government but also for the way it is run. Madison wrote over 25 Federalist Papers and is sometimes called the "Father of the Constitution". In 1791, James Madison wrote "Public opinion sets bounds to every government, and is the real sovereign in every free one." McCain must also hate Article 4 Section 4 of the Constitution. "The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a REPUBLICAN form of government, and shall protect each of them against INVASION;" Many fought and many died to make this country what it is today. He wasn't one of them. dreadneck, do you know anything about McCain? McCain didn't join the Army. Instead, he rode his father's coat tails to get himself into one of the best military schools in the country. That was to avoid being on the ground fighting in Vietnam. There were better people than him but he was able to cut in line to get in. According to reports he graduated from Annapolis(Naval Academy) near the bottom of his class.
Public Comments
- he is one of the many idiots in this country
- Sore loser syndrome. He's blown his chance to be Prez. and knows it -so in typical republican fashion he must strike out at everyone else for his failures.
- He must be one of those American terrorists that the cons on here keep calling everyone. He deserves the name.
- Normally I agree with your posts, but not today. Even though I know these are taken out of context, I would have to say that he just doesn't think it is responsible of Congress to let it come to "extracurriculur politics". Meaning, if Congress did their job, the people wouldn't have to worry about whatever issue it is you are quoting.
- As I remember, he fought for his country and suffered for it, spending years as a prisoner of war. What have you done to compare to that? How can you judge someone who gave part of his life for his country? Come on, give us your qualifications.
- John McCain is a great American. He suffered for years in a POW camp in Vietnam. If anyone loves the USA and will defend her, it is John McCain.
- Maybe he is trying to be like Harry loser Reid and stupid troops Kerry
- He showed his HATRED by joining the Army. He further "Shot the Bird" at America by spending time in a sadistic Viet Cong prison. He literally MOONED the stars and stripes by being carried out of the POW camp on a stretcher because he was so emaciated. Yeah, buddy, that McCain is a big-time INSURGENT, huh? .
- All libs do.
- i think that what he was saying is that politicians should not rely upon us, the public, to make their decisions for them and that when they delay their decisions, they risk the possibility of being swayed by public opinion rather than following their conscience and in the end, become prone to placing more importance upon public opinion than facts and intelligence. our politicians should be able to sum up an issue independent of public input. if they can't, they aren't qualified for the job. it doesn't mean that we should not have a voice. it simply means that they should not be reliant upon us to do their thinking for them.
- He's just like Bush the one who created a big mess in our country.
- He suffers from "little guy complex" and can't understand why everybody doesn't look at him as if he were the ONLY hero from the Viet Nam police action....nope, the gov't never labeled it a "war" because then they would have to give the returning soldiers war benefits.
- If I thought you were even close to inaccurate I would say so but * YOU ARE DEAD ON CENTER RIGHT! ~CHEERS~
- You misquote him, he was talking about CONGRESS being too busy CAMPAIGNING to do their jobs.
- I dont exactly agree with you, on john mccain. I think the remarks you posted are disjointed, I'd have to see the whole post to make a decision. John Mccain did use his connections to get into Us Naval academy. So, What? Everyone that applies has to have a reccomedation from a congress person, or better. And yeah, on the scheme of rating and grading, he did graduate near the bottom of the class. That doesnt mean he wasnt a good officer. OCS (whatever academy)means that you have the basics of what you need to serve. The exeprience of serving gives the test of the skills to improve yourself.
