Republicans - Are you still interested in John McCain?

As a liberal democrat, if we lost the election - I would rather lose it to him on the basis of foreign affairs or to Guiliani on social issues. I think it would be a dark day in America if the Republicans were forced to rally for Huckabee or Romney. Can I persuade you to support John McCain, Rudy Guiliani or even Ron Paul? please? There is a difference between wearing your religion on your sleeve and actually taking proactive steps to institute a Theocracy in America.... we don't want that!

  1. Relax Huck and Rom are dead outside of Iowa.
  2. I don't think we need to appease the Church of Pope Ron Paul by voting in their messiah. I'd rather back someone who isn't being supported by brainwashed fanatic zombies. And that is why I am still interested in John McCain. McCain has demonstrated nothing but honesty, integrity, and a committment not just to this country, but to working with both democrats and republicans alike. Unfortunately, he is almost as bad as Fred Thompson at running a campaign. Even if he is the best man for the job, he's gotta work on winning elections, or he will never get a chance to shine. Unlike the Ron Paul supporters, I am not going to delude myself into believing that a McCain nomination is a long-shot. But I'm still willing to back him up when the time comes.
  3. You don't have to persuade me about Ron Paul!!!
  4. i like huck but he doesn't stand a chance i don't like mccain all that much but i could tolerate him especially since rudy seems like he could go terribly wrong in a presidential race by angering die hards. he could get a lot of votes from people to the left tho
  5. Yes. But I will go against you since you are a Hate America Liberal. I have nothing against Huckabee or Romney. Perhaps that's because I'm tolerant and not a bigot.
  6. I was a McCain supporter in 2000. He doesn't excite me anymore, but he's still better than most of the GOP squibs. I'm looking at Paul and Romney.
  7. I have never voted Republican but I do wonder why McCain is not doing better in the polls. He is experienced and seems like an honest man. Maybe he is just too straight.
  8. No, Mccain can kiss my butt! He voted for amnesty for all the illegal aliens in our country last year, so he is unacceptable to the majority of conservative Americans. Giuliani is almost as bad when it comes to illegal aliens; he would also give amnesty to all but the worst criminals of the 20 to 38 million illegal aliens in our country. I like Ron Paul, but he doesn't have a chance. I will take Romney, Hunter, or Thompson over Mccain and the social liberal Giuliani.
  9. Not anymore, I like Ron Paul now. Everything he says is very very true plus he is a strong constitutionalist!
  10. Shanelad, vote in the primary for Ron paul and he does have a chance. I think John McCain is not a well man, physically or mentally. Huckabee is a scary guy and Giuliani is just a goof.
  11. i never was interested in him and he is my senator
  12. McCain Guliani and Paul are all RINOS (Republicans in name only). Expect it to come down to Romney or Huckabee.
  13. We need a good Political fight Black&White. Obama vs. McCain. A real liberal vs a real conservative.
  14. no. you can have McCain.
  15. Interesting question, to be honest I don't think that there is even a possibility of a republican win come November 2008, so you don't have much to worry about. As for Giuliani and McCain, I cannot support them because of their views on the war and social issues. Both are against gay marriage. (Giuliani stated in a prior debate that he would be in favor of an amendment banning gay people from getting married). I already support Ron Paul, he doesn't see the Constitutional authority of the federal government to involve itself in such a matter, that's why he voted against the amendment and I agree with his foreign policy views, this war needs to come to an end.
