Is John McCain a one dimensional candidate?

Is John McCain's only issue, national security. Have you notice that is all he talks about . Don't we need a well rounded president? Also, McCain's arguments concerning illegal is immigration weak. At tonight debate he tried to evade the issue concerning illegal immigration. What are your thoughts concerning John McCain? puzzled you missed my point! We are trying to elect a president not a military leader! A president needs to have more than on hat to do the job. You sound and talk like John McCain is are last great hope . We are the most powerful country on earth not some two bit nation looking for some savior.

  1. no, he just sticks to the most important topics and doesn't flip-flop... even though i hate using that word, its true. i think has the best head on his shoulders of any republican candidate, and wont be throwing bibles down our throats if elected. he's a republican democrats can live and work with.
  2. John McCain = George Bush He's just a better talker.
  3. he is the only oone with the backbone to run the country
  4. he's a good guy, but you bring up a decent point. That is definitely his platform.. national security. Rudy, though likeable, also seems to only talk about national security and 9/11. I'm not voting republican anyhow, but that's just my two cents.
  5. He's about as one dimensional as GWB, if you catch my drift.
  6. yes essentially he is a one dimensional candidate. both national security and universal health care are two topics that he spends much of his campaigning on. over the summer i had the opportunity to see all the major Democratic candidates speak. Since that time, his positions and reasoning have not changed in any way. McCain looks at issues through a looking glasses, not seeing that their are many factors needing to be taken into account. good politicians realize that universal health care can not just be implemented; legislation, taxes, etc. must be introduced. McCain's ideas are ideal, but their is often lack or reasoning behind them.
  7. Yes, John McCain missed the boat in 2000, thanks to George W. Bush, telling lies about him which he later just accepted and became another face in the Republican crowd! John is a day late and a dollar short as George W. Bush and him are just a like! John McCain would hand the "White House to the Democrats"! He is not electable in 2008 as his straight talk express is now George W. Bush double-talk!
  8. McCain wants to be another Musherrif to this country.....a military learder........we don't need a leader looking for "charlie" in closet doors......I think he's been in the arizona sun too long.
  9. I would like to answer your question with a question. If the other candidates lowered taxes, gave you health care, fixed social security, and threw out all the illegals would that be more important to you than knowing John McCain would be working on keeping you safe? I don't know why more people are not more worried about national security because if we don't have it none of the other things are going to matter to us anyway. I do believe we are in more danger in this country than ever before and I would love for John McCain to be my president at least he would not sit on his butt and let the terrorist take us over like all those candidates for change, health care, and all that other stuff they will not deliver anyway.
