Do you think Arizona John McCain will run for President of the USA in 2008?
Public Comments
- Maybe. And I liked him before the immigration bill, but now he's on my sh*t list.
- DEMOCRATS Hillary Clinton John Kerry John Edwards Al Gore Joe Biden Wesley Clark Bill Richardson Russ Feingold Evan Bayh Mark Warner REPUBLICANS Condoleezza Rice Rudolph Giuliani John McCain Jeb Bush George Allen Newt Gingrich Fred Thompson Bill Frist Mitt Romney Rick Santorum Tom Tancredo
- I highly suspect he will. But I've notice more and more appearances of the Massachusetts Governor, Mitt Romney appearing on Fox News and CNN so not sure but it looks like the Republican party is grooming him for a potential candidate as well.
- Probably, but if he continues with his push for this insane immigration bill, he's doomed. He won't win. Even without this, I don't think he has enough charisma to win. I hate to say it, but so many times, that's what it takes to win.
- Yes he will.
- Yes, he will run.
- His egotism won't let him not run. 'Greg Stillson' McCain campaigns on!
- Maybe - I like him. I voted against bush twice, but I would have voted for McCain both times !
- yes, isn't that why he's giving commencment speaches and on every talk show he can get on ??
- He should have run in 2000. And I would have supported him. But after he won a couple of primaries in New England, the secret backers of Bush (Enron, Worldcom and many other sleezeballs) donated in one week more than $ 20 million to the Bush campaign, which de facto destroyed the chances of McCain and any other potential candidate in one big blow. The rest is known and will soon be history. I am not sure if McCain still has his integrity, which he certainly had in the past. In recent years he has become a very silent man and even backed Bush on several points of policy. I wonder if his silence was bought with the promise to give him a free run in 2008 (maybe with Jeb Bush as the running mate). On the other hand, it would need a strong man like McCain to end the illegal war in Iraq and the senseless occupation of Afghanistan (were the opium production was never higher than it is now under US control). I am very sorry to say this, but at present I am deeply disappointed by most US politicians from both parties and can see no one who would offer a true alternative to the mess the Bush administration has created.
- NO!! immigration bill killed him.
- I hope not, but it is likely he will.
- Yes, and as a conservative I will not support him
- Yes he will and yes he will win.
